Congrats, you will love it. Big thing is you will miss a couple weeks of lamenting about your new wheels while they sit in port and the on then ship and then in port.

Should just take a couple of days to get to your dealer when it's ready. What color and options did you pick?

You are going to love the Countryman and you get to drive it on German roads which is a bonus. My daughter and future son in law are living in Weiden in der Oberpfalz. He's at the same base as you.

Shoot, I took a road trip from Alexandria to VA Beach to break in its break-in period. By the time I was back from the trip, it was broke in...

is it a stick shift or automatic?

Automatic. During the "break in" period you are not suppose to keep a constant speed nor are you suppose to exceed 55 MPH or "race" the engine. Living here in Germany if i leave town the speed limit is 62 MPH. So im pretty sure im going to have to break the 55 MPH rule... Not sure how many miles MINI requires for a motor break in. its usually between 500 and 1500

I have a pristine '08 MCS with just under 15,000 miles on it. I'm seriously considering a 2014 Countryman S. The light coffee, tobacco seats, black roof, lots of adds. Any thoughts?

Unless your reason is for more room, yes. For fun, stick with the hatch - in that it's a lot lighter and nimble. Visibility is phenomenal... Just my $0.02...

I think it's somewhere around there... but I put mine through the wringer from jump street. In the rain at that... By the time I got home it was pulling 31mpg...

I find driving my Countryman S All 4 just as fun as my hatchback was so that is subjective.

I'd like more room - especially the 4 doors & the flat load floor for my 85 lb Sadie. Will also get the protector for the back as well. Anyone out there have the light coffee color? I'll probably order my Countryman S end of December. Plan to sell my MCS privately (more $$)

I was reading this thread and thought, "I don't remember writing that post...I don't have a MCS. What's wrong with this app?!"
