I'll take the right hand one any day of the week.

Cool

To be honest, if you cant tell the difference between a Countryman and a normal mini you should not be driving or even walking without a white stick

Just something else that needs to be changed, I don't need the name spelled out to know which MINI it is , hate it

Has anyone had their dealer to remove it at delivery? I'm especially interested in if you had it removed from a dark paint color like absoblack and whether any micro scratches were left behind on the boot where they removed the letters.

I will NOT buy a CM with that on the back. I would rather NOT buy another Mini than to drive those letters around....

Ordered my "Countryman" lettering from ECS tuning this evening. Looking forward to getting it and putting it on.

When I went to pick mine up it had them. I asked for it to be removed as I was getting the protector package for the paint and interior. They removed them with no hesitation and stated that was a popular request. I ordered Blazing Red, no sign of anything from removing them. Thanks, Ferman Mini in Tampa! You guys are great.

No idea why they started putting them on, I know some like that stuff, I think it looks like tacky crap. To each his own.

Talking My Cuntryman

I'm very sure your extremely happy with the effect, but for me its all to busy. You loose the shape of the car & the smooth lines.

Take a look at my dirty car & tell me im wrong

Looks great! I like the look very much, and do not feel that "you lose the shape of the car" at all. It's definitely busier with it, but the Countryman has a large expanse of boot, and this gives it a nice treatment.

I guess that you could take that idea and apply it to the doors as well. as the doors are big areas. Cover them with stripes, flaming wheel arches, decals etc. I've seen a few funnies on the net with pictures of people sat on a toilet etc. Anyone done that yet?

For those of us with stripes the change is harder. I have sport stripes so I have a single break in the stripes. The wide set racing stripes get two breaks one for the cooper logo on the passenger side high and othen both broken for the Countryman logo. Itgets real busy real fast. I have not decided what to do, car offloaded today in Brunswick so I have a week to figure it out.

I have a black one. All lettering removed, even moved the JCW back to the lower right hand corner. The dealer put little scratches around the JCW logo, but I buffed if off. Other than that, it's all good. And I saw the one on the street the other day has all the letterings. In my taste, I am so glad that I removed them. My co-worker was sitting next to me and can't agreed enough. Just too busy for the design point of view. Mini needs to fix it soon.

I just got a Paceman, and when I took delivery they told me at the dealer that MINI was going to start putting the same kind of lettering on the Countryman, and then asked me if I liked it or not. I really couldn't give an answer one way or the other then, and to be honest, I still can't. I guess if I was going to put stripes on, the lettering could make it too busy; but otherwise I really don't feel that strongly about it either way. My wife's Countryman doesn't have the name splayed across the back, my Paceman does; I'd be hard-pressed to say I like one over the other.

Paceman really wouldn't be that bad across the back. But...

C O U N T R Y M A N

makes me feel like I need to go buy a 10 gallon had and get some boots. ;-) Just not my style.

Though, I think if I had a Paceman I'd have to find an S like the red Cooper S and put it in front of the lettering!

One man's clean and smooth is another man's dull and boring.
The customization is one of the things that makes Mini great.

Personally, I like the label. However I think it would have looked nicer if the lettering on the Countryman would have been closer together so the total width would have matched the Paceman's label.

Look as long as the dealer is willing to remove it for those who don't want it, like mine did, everybody wins.

I just had a 2013 loaner that has the new label and I actually really liked it. In the photos I had seen leading up to the release of the paceman I wasn't really feeling it but now that I've seen it in person I like it and I want it.

It kinda breaks up the back so now it doesn't look so juicy.

I haven't read thru the thread enough to know how I go about getting this added but I really want it.

Picked mine up today. Looks like they are not handling stripes in a consistant manner with TS.

Some of these cars would not look out of place in that tv program.. pimp my ride.

Wont be long & someone will have those wheel hubs that keep rotating when the car stops, Diamante headlights, eyelashes & maybe start growing a garden on the roof. I guess you Americans prefer the bling bling look.

Some of these cars are starting to look cheap & nasty in my eye.

That's one of the great things about MINIs, they're not all the same boring look over and over. Personally, I haven't seen any pictured here that I think go overboard and some of them including Lucy there, I think look great.

Prior to pick up I sent an email to my MA about debadging. I never heard back from him so when I took delivery on Friday I wasn't entirely surprised to see the letters on there.

I actually don't mind them on the Royal Grey...for now anyway. If I add stripes later on I think it's a no-brainer to have them removed though. I'll post pictures soon.
