I am not sure why the cut the stripe .. I think the complete stripe is a cleaner look... (just my opinion).
I know some hate stripes and some hate the badging all together...
I do not want to disclose what my feelings are regarding the Countryman wording on the back of the car, but does anyone know how to remove the letters without having to get a paint job?
It's ok, you can say it sucks
I removed mine the same way i have done with badges on my vehicles for years.
1.hair dryer. on high setting an inch or too from from badge, held there for about 5 minutes
2.using fishing line wrapped around GLOVED fingers on both hands, use a sawing motion to cut through the adhesive, loosened by the hair dryer.
3. using Goo-Gone on a micro fiber towel, wipe the surface until all adhesive is gone.
4.the result is a clean boot with absolutely not mars, scratches, or any other blemishes on the paint.
I took delivery of my 2014 CMS All4 a little over a week ago, and I went for the Stealth Package as I didn't like the COUNTRYMAN lettering on the boot. They definitely meant it with the stealth package. The only references to the make/model/etc. on the car are the integrated MINI boot latch (definitely can't get rid of that), the MINI badge on the bonnet, and the "S" on the side markers. There is no "COOPER S" badge on the boot, and no "All4" badges on the doors. I've never been a fan of all the labelling on cars, so I love the look. Will also make it much easier to wax.
the shealth package is good on a 2wd, but an all4 needs to have its "all4" badge displayed. if it were to be towed incorrectly like in dragged it could damage your transmission, if you don't have it displaying all4 you will find it hard to sue anyone for damages don't due to bad towing.
As noted, I think I could go either way. I haven't decided whether I'm going to leave it this way or take it to a local shop to have the badging removed and the stripes "fixed". For now I don't hate it, honestly I think it looks better in person than in pictures.
I'm a big fan of strips but good grief that's horrible, it looks stupid, I know it's not your fault, but jesus what the hell were MINI thinking when they came up with this.
We're the proud owners of a new Countryman S. My wife hated the logo across the back so much that she had the dealer remove it and any history of it prior to delivery...
I was pleased with the port install of my stripes ending before the CM label.
I am not personally a fan of stripes or the countryman plate, but i must say this look is very intriguing indeed...the red stripes on the white paint do look good.
White JCW with red roof is a fantastic color combo as well !
So I went to pick up my 2014 countryman All4 tonight. When I first took a glance I couldn't believe what I was seeing, there was no countryman or all 4 or coopers s to be found on the car at all. I was ecstatic! The sales people interpreted me being excited the wrong way and thought I was upset about the lack of labels on the car. They started circling the car flipping out, it was really a site to see. They thought someone messed up big time. They asked another salesman who ordered the car why it was missing all its labels. Turns out you can order a "stealth trim" which only comes with the mini wings and nothing else. It is so sexy and minimalist looking; it was truly meant to be!
