Have an inquiry out with law firm who filed first class action against MINI few years ago. I've set up the following email so anyone who might want to look into this or share stories can do so off this forum:

I'm not sticking around long enough to find out. Mini will be buying mine back. I just feel bad for the next buyer.

They have so far not responded to our request for a buy back. How did you get them to do that.

Mojito,
Could you PM or send an email to above address with the chain of events in your case? This way it's not on the forum and can be confidential.

We are fighting for a buy back or the new clutch. I'm so angry. I could use some advice.

Thanks!

We couldn't get anywhere with the local dealer either (requested buyback via Service Manager, only got a call saying he was working on it, and that was a month ago. I don't have time or patience for this, and rather than lawyer up and get emotionally embroiled in it, just got rid of it. Life is too short. While it would nice to be able to see some upside on a vehicle I paid $33k to that I was forced to trade for $19,300 just to get away from a second failing clutch, I'm more interested at this point in spreading the word, and letting folks know how I was mistreated. Good luck with a Class Action, and let me know if I can assist, despite having sold mine.

sure, don't have much yet. Theres a whole process, and can be done yourself if you are diligent. I don't have the time or energy, the lawyer wasn't that expensive and found more money than I thought I'd get back.

First step is writing MINI with an official 40 day letter.

We are seeing the same problems with our second clutch as well.

Wow. Sorry to hear this tad. Not a feel good MINI sort of story. And thanks for using my hashtag #shameonyouMINI. I've been actively responding to tweets and Facebook posts from MINI USA and using the hashtag. Starting a movement...
