R60 What is Your MPG
I've now had my Countryman S ALL4 manual for a little over a month and 3,000 miles (yes I put the comma in the right spot). My average full economy is 28.92 with a max of 30.89 and a low of 26.04 according to Gas Cubby.
Easily 90% of those 3k miles has been highway driving - including a trip across PA.

I've had my Countryman S (manual trans) just about 2 weeks. The OBC says I'm getting 31.6mpg. I'm driving mixed city/hwy with rush hour stop and go sometimes.
I have questions re: posts saying that mileage gets better as the car "breaks in". I'd argue that it's the driver who is getting better with car - more accustomed to the clutch (for manual), and less enamored with the fact we have such a fun car, etc. As for the engine getting warmer=better mileage...hmmm really? Doesn't that really apply to Diesel engines? Sure the turbos may behave a bit better but don't they draw their air from the exhaust system, which should be warm air? And if you idle to warm the engine, what's that doing to your mileage?
Not arguing here, but asking questions.
I will post actual mileage after my next 2 fill ups.

My CMS manual is averaging 30.6 over the last 6 tanks since mid February, when I started really tracking it. I never noticed a change since the breakin either. I also find my OBC MPG reading to be accurate - within ~0.5 mpg when you look at the average. There's certainly more variability in calculating it the old fashioned way with a single tank, probably because it is hard to fill the tank to the same level each time. This is especially true in NJ where you don't pump your own gas.
CMS4 with manual. Just took a trip from Orlando, FL to Savanna, GA, about a four hour drive. Filled up as we left so I could get actual each way. On the way up it came out to 28 MPG and on the way back 30 MPG. I am averaging about 25/24.5 in town, so I am seeing roughly 24/29 I would say. Only have about 2,400 miles on it so far after a bit over a month.
Each time I made sure to fill until it stopped and then go again to make sure it filled as sometimes after I fill up the first light goes off too quickly on the gauge so I think the pump is stopping prematurely.
I don't trust the OBC mileage, although my combined on that climbed into the 26 range during the trip, so maybe I will eventually with this car. My Jeep always claimed 16+, but calculating always showed it at about 14/15.
Will be driving to Atlanta over the 4th holiday and then in the end of July to Maine, roughly a 3k mile round trip. So, glad to see my mileage is hitting about where I was expecting it to be.
UPDATE: On our Atlanta trip over the 4th of July weekend I got as high as 31.9 mpg on one tank coming back. That is with driving highway only in the 75-80 mph range. Just at two months now, 4,158 miles and the computer claims an overall of 26.8 mpg.
UPDATE: On our Maine trip we put on roughly 3,700 miles. We got 31mpg highway (+-75mph) with the Thule 1600 Ascent cargo carrier on top with two adults, two teen agers, golf clubs and other associated cargo. At one point while in Maine we got 34.5mpg when the backroad speeds kept us around 50-60 due to conditions and limits. Very pleased with the mileage which now shows an overall of 27.6 on the computer on my new car (barely 3 months old) which now has about 8,200.

I filled up today and the pump did definitely not turn off early. This was evidenced by a significant amount of gasoline being dumped over my wheel. Fuelly reflected an appropriate hit in MPG for the last tank...
Almost have 2,000 miles on my '13 CM S All4 automatic. Just took a trip from Albany, NY to Quebec City and back with four adults, four suitcases and got 30.9 mpg. I'm pretty happy with that!
High speed 75_80% hwy
I just hit 44000 on my 2012 fwd ctm S. got it in jan12
Drive 120-150/day lots of highway driving at 85-95mph (posted limit is 75)
Premium gas always and I am averaging 27.4mpg
Here my fuelly showing 130 fill ups http://www.fuelly.com/driver/sliksunny/countryman

Thats what it says and thats what I do. I get about 50+ mi on first carrot with that method
I was getting pretty consistent 29-30 MPG with my ALL4S manual when my commute was 95% highway driving...
My current commute is now much shorter and all city driving (little to no traffic though) and it looks like I'm down to 25... This is based on Gas Cubby's readings not the OBC.
Typically my shifts are down in the 2500 range specifically to be mindful of the fuel burn...
Pretty happy, i just started commuting to work, about 70 mi a day. I just did 31mpg on a full tank. I got about 350 mi.
previously with mostly city driving i was getting about 260 to a tank. It was horrible.

I just did a 600 mile road trip and averaged 31.5 overall (tank fill/miles) Allot of stop and go in construction and open cruising at 75mph. I am avg ~29 day to day 12 miles rural and some town driving back and forth to work. I do have a manual.
my wife's all4s is about 24 after 15k per the obc. She drives it like she stole it.
Be careful with filling beyond auto shutoff, the dealer tried to say we had done that, and blamed us for fuel in the charcoal canister. They've finally admitted it's a flaw after the 4th time and are paying us back for the prior service but it's till something to be careful about.
