Putting Automatic in Reverse - Heard Clunk

kind of an odd thing happened the other day. i parked my MCs got out and thought i should move it over a bit. so i got back in...press the start button and put the auto tranny in reverse and heard what seemed to be a loud clunk (it didn't sound pretty.) anyone else experience this? after, i drove it around and put it in reverse a number of times but couldn't replicate. i have 3,300 miles on it and otherwise it has performed well during the 7 months i've owned it.

Haven't ever heard that at just over 4k miles on mine but on rare occasions while coming to a stop I've felt the auto tranny downshifting with a few mild clunks.

I had that happen on the first drive home from the dealer. This is our second CMALL4S, read about it in the problems and issues, and we stopped at the mall to pick some stuff up. Found a spot at the mall I guess on a slight incline. 18 miles on the odometer.

A better single sided spot (one with only one other car next to it) opens up and I decide to move the brand new car. Go to fire it up and the whole car makes a huge clunk from the motor and then runs rough?

Great.

Turn it off and refire and it's good but today another rough idle at fire up with 168 miles on the clock.

Oh and a new icon on the message center.

"Airbag or Seatbelt " problem.

Off to the dealer.

not on a hill...level. i pushed the bottom and shifted into reverse. i do this all the time...so it was kind of weird. not sure if had anything to do with the time between the button pushed and the shift into reverse. all i know is that it was an ugly sound.

This happened to me once. I think I put it in gear too quickly though and that was the reason why. The car did a little jump too when I did.

False alarm on the warning.

Dealer found an unseated fuse.

Whew! I didn't want to start this car off on the wrong wheel.
