Not quite done yet, but I retrofitted a sun visor from an R50 to my 2011 (which didn't come with one). Pics and brief write-up in this thread

Smoked my tail lights with VHT nightshades...masked the reverse lights so the white of the lens would stay white. Didn't want to completely black it out, so it has a nice dark maroon look.

Matches the black tail rings nicely now.

I'll snap a shot tonight.

I did three light coats. I didn't want them completely black, that ain't my style. Still plenty of light passes through when braking...and didn't want to affect the reverse lights as sometimes I rely on the actual light that it gives off.

Like you I was afraid of the results, but manned up and tried it. It really was very simple. I tried using the vinyl shades because I was afraid but they are really hard to affix with the shape of our lights.

Removed the CM lettering from the boot of my new JCW CM- now I need to move the JCW badge as it looks out of place.

Plastidipping 101

Removed the countryman lettering. Bought a can of plastidip to see what all the fuzz is about. It came out just how I wanted it. Instant plastidip fan...

Has anyone done it to the beltline?

How did you mask it? any tips? Did you apply onto the rubber as well or just the chrome?

I sectioned the windows and doors with 3M auto plastic wrap. I just worked my way around the whole vehicle. The line on the panel with the scuttle, you can just pull that off and spray those individually. NOTE: If you take those off, remeber to put them back on. I was changing my air filter at the same time and put them right by the filter box and totally forgot to put them back on. After driving around a few hours later and I realized I didn't put them back on. When I opened the bonnet, only one of them was there. Good thing for me that I was able to order that put from Sewell.

got rid of my Goodyear Runflats and put on Conti ExtremeContact 225/50/18s. The ride home felt like I was in a completely different CM. Quick observation I noticed slightly better MGP? Ill have to look into that. Fills out the wheel well nicely.

I believe I posted pics on the Oxford Green owners club. They are not close up pics, but you can still see it. I didn't do the door handles yet. Debating on if I should plasti-dip them or get the carbon fiber covers.

I thought it would be and I hemmed and hawed for quite a bit. Had an appointment to get them installed and said screw it. It came out 99.9% awesome. I was scared for no reason at all. Use the wet method(spray bottle with 4-5 drops of Dawn dish soap applied to the car AND the stripes) to apply and just make sure you go over the entire surface several times, I mean like 5-7 times, to make sure that the water bubbles are out. When pulling off the paper pull back so that the paper is parallel to the stripe so that you are pulling AWAY from the corner you started on and the paper is almost laying down flat as you pull. FLAT. Go watch some videos on youtube to get an idea, very helpful. Good luck! And don't be scared.

Smile Stripes, wash, and red pinstriped scuttle

Had stripes from MinigraphicsUK installed- 4 stripe viper set with red accents.

Also applied a red pin stripe down the side scuttles

Very nice Bguarino. I am still trying to figure out what I will do with mine when it lands. I ordered with no stripes, but it is definitely getting some. Yours looks good. Another set of good ideas to put into my file.

I'm also contemplating on getting them. Did you get them from GoBadges.com? Do they fit nicely?
