Nice! I did the headlight rims a couple of weeks ago and finally managed to do the taillight rims today. My dealer has a lot of people coming in with requests for the rim blades.

Smile Applied Xpel Extreme Luggage Area Protection

I put clear protectant on the top of my rear bumper to prtect when the pups and other things bounce in and out.

Ordered the flim (came as a set of 2, since 1 went on good I have a back-up for future) I also purchased a hard applicator and a small bottle of pre-mixed Gel. I used a spray bottle I already had.

I

I watched a couple of thier videos and launched into it. This application is rated for a beginner. As they say in the video don't be afraid and stretch. This was key working over the lip and around the parking sensors. (they sell with and without sensor holes)

Took me about 15 mins and would be 1/2 that if I did it again.

In the picture above that is just some Gel I missed at the top joint when I was wiping up. If you were not looking for it you would never know it was there.

That looks really good. I just picked my CMS up on Friday and have been thinking about putting some sort of protective cover on there. I like how this one is mostly invisible at a distance/glance.

Did you order it from the companies website directly or through a reseller?

I ordered straight off the Xpel website. You work down through make model, year ,and style and then pick based on having parking sensors or not. Thier videos are of more complex installs but gives you the idea of how to stretch over edge etc. And you get two so you can practice with one so the preasure is not as great.

Applied side stripes from houseofgrafx.com a few days ago. The fit was 'meh' and needed some trimming work prior to application for the correct look. But for $40 shipped I can't really complain.

Finally got my roof top box from REI. The Thule Pulse L fits perfectly! No need to swap out the antenna, full boot clearance, and it fits my 162cm snowboard. We drove at speeds of 70-80 mph with minimal noise and no rattle.

@thirdraildesignlab: Very nice!

Are you using the Thule fairing with the OEM Mini rack? If so, what size/model did you go with? Does it fit well?

Thanks!

How hard is it to remove the headlight and taillight rings on the Countryman? I am thinking of replacing the chrome with black ones from Way Motor Works. My car is still on order, so I don't have one to look at and play with right now.

Red face New red brake duct inlets

Put in the red brake duct inlets that were not at the dealer when I picked the car up. Turned out to be easy just hold the new inlet up to see where the clips are, slide a plastic picnic knife or credit card in to release the top and work it out. Then pop-pop and the new ones are in.

And now I have spare red mirror caps.

Nice!

Mine will be white with a black roof, but I am thinking of adding some very slight splashes of red - the brake calipers and brake ducts.

Looks great, I like how everything matches now.

Well iirc it was the 38" version. It was s challenge to install. It fits pretty well but at certain speeds and in certain conditions does tend to rattle a bit Could be mitigated by pre-curving it with a heat gun to help follow the curve of the roof. Still, not bad.

After lowering the R60 and putting 2k miles on the coilovers, I finally had some time to get an alignment and the rear LCA's installed!
