Interior/Exterior Sun visor (lateral) for a 2011 CMSA4
Sun visor (lateral) for a 2011 CMSA4
Yesterday, I retrofitting a sun visor from an R50 to the driver's side window, and it came out pretty good.
The idea and part numbers came from this thread, but with a twist.
Although the bolt spacing and curve of the new visor is perfect, it was too big to fit in the spot for the handle. All I needed was a 3/4" spacer and a 2-inch bolt to make it work, so I found some scrap wood and got started. In retrospect, a couple of toy blocks or jenga pieces would have saved me some time.
The wood blends pretty well against the beige, but still looks a little ghetto with the visor down. It'll look a lot better after I sand and paint it.
Parts
* Sun visor (lateral) 51167266606. $56 + shipping at ECS Tuning.
* 2 x 2" #10 sheet metal screws
* 2 x 2" #8 sheet metal screws (optional ... they just stabilize the wood)
