I have some work to do now to get my custom setup all finished up.
1) I have an aluminum cold side charge pipe that I'm going to weld a recirculation valve connection on; I'll then block off the OE location for the BV on the turbo.
2) I want to relocated my battery to the cabin so I can move the coolant overflow tank and occ in the area the battery is currently in... so that I can make room for my custom cold air intake.
3) My CAI will have a box to make it a true cold air setup. Still need to get all that fabricated.
4) I want to get my head ported to flow amazing... and forge the internals.
5) Finally, I want to port, polish and ceramic coat the exhaust manifold and turbine housing.
Shooting for 350HP on pump gas. The car is currently sitting at 2980lbs (stock is roughly 3220lbs), I'm also looking to drop about another 100lbs off the car when I'm done with this setup.

Do you have a full on front shot? I think i like it but need to see more. I think it would look good with my red and black but i would need to black out the chrome rings.
Here are the front photos! Definitely liking the look more and more.
Took the chrome trim off my grille and sprayed it with plastic dip.
Looks awesome , what color did you use? I got a gun metal plastic dip to do chrome trims but I want to make sure it will match the side markers or comes close to that gray color.
I'm adding black trim to the headlights and gloss black side markers so I sprayed it black as well. I also sprayed the headlight washers. Next up blacking out the beltline trim around the car.

Awesome! I want to do this too. How did you get the chrome off?

If you take the grill off and note how the chrome trim clips on to it - carefully pry up the clips one at a time with a screwdriver and put a penny in between. Do this all around and it will come off. I sprayed 6 light coats, waited 15 min between each, and let the thing sit for 24 hours to dry completely.

Oh! I misunderstood. Yeah, saw those clips when I did my LED fog lights. Thought you meant you de-chromed the trim piece. Nice!

Yeah I went the cheaper route. I de-chromed the trim on my old Saab a while back and had it black chromed (I believe it's called black nickel). It was expensive, about $250 or so, and it was smaller than the Mini trim.

what did i do today? today we installed the timing chain and torqued in the main @ 36 lbs and then another 180 degrees. crazy I know......... total rebuild on the N-18...why because a MINI Teach with gauged out earlobes, and a beard of course told me i was fing stupid for even thinking about it. then he overfilled my 2012 countryman with oil, and so the story goes. You all want to see pics?
what will I do tomorrow? Everything. MINI Tech Told me I was Fing stupid for doing this. I learned so much about this car, and I am not even a trained Mechanic. Local guy wanted 900 to come and change the head gasket in my drive way; told me to leave it to the professionals LOL
I added the JB+ ✅
I (Finally) changed the stock front lower lip to the JCW Front Lip (Thanks ECS Tuning) ✅
I swapped out the regular brake lines for the Stainless Steel Brake Lines (from ECS Tuning) ✅
I gave it a wash and wax 🔥

You gotta wonder with some people . How much did he overfill by? How much of a mess did he make by doing so?
Any particular reason you decided to do it or was it all just preventive measures cause that crack doesn't look like it was helping lol
It makes it feel like it's in Sport Mode all the time and the Sport Button gives it a nice kick in the pants. Under "normal" driving (like boring people) I've seen an average increase of 1 to 1.5 mpg, but if you floor it your right back to typical mpg's
Deleted the intercooler tube muffler thing. 2"OD exhaust piping coated in VHT.
Absolutely no discernable difference :(
There should've been a little gain in low end response since its a lot smoother now, but with the stock tune it may not feel like much. Definitely not going to gain power from this mod. The major difference with this is when you tune your engine and raise your boost, response tends to be much much better.
