Where to buy rail cup holder?

Our CM ALL4 has the rear bench seat and the only rail accessory it came with is the sunglass holder.

Where can I get one of the rail cup holders that all the other CM's seem to come with?

Thanks!

-Jac

Your MA should be able to get one for you, if not for free than at least sell one to you.

Doesn't come with CMS with bench seat. Only one accessory fits in the rail so they include the sunglass holder and nothing else.

Isn't there a cup holder on the back of the center seat back when you fold it down?

Nope. No cup holders for the rear seat at all. I would be interested in a rail mounted cup holder too. The sunglasses holder is a pain. To solve that problem I replaced the side sun visor with a sunglasses holder out of a VW. Surprisingly the hole pattern was exactly the same.

My mini with bench seat (no back rail) didn't come with a rail cup holder either - just sunglasses and iPhone holder. I'd like to find one since I think it would be easier placement on the front rail - then the current one which is by the toggle switches.

Interesting! Could you share your source and a picture?

Yup, we got the bench seat as well and only have the sun glass holder which is a pain to open and which I've already broken trying to open :(. I don't think a cup holder would work in the front with the hand brake correct?

I saw a thread on here a while back with details of the mod, but can't seem to find it. Grrrr. But here are pictures of the sunglass holder/visor that fits into the mini side visor holes. I'm sure others will be able to find the exact thread, but here's something to tide you over. It's a pretty cool mod and definitely something I'm going to do to mine.

For those interested, I just found one on Amazon for MUCH less (and it's the right color), 11.99 plus 5.99 shipping (for me, your shipping may vary). Just search for Beige Sunglass Holder.

Sorry for taking so long and for co-opting the thread on rail cup holders to discuss sunglass holders. Here is a picture of the one I pulled out of my old VW Passat and put in my new 2012 CM. The sunglass holder is actually listed as belonging to the New Beetle instead of the Passat. Be aware there are other VW sunglass holders out there that do not fit the Mini, but I can confirm the one for the New Beetle circa 2002 does fit. There is one small plastic tab that you have to cut off but that doesn't affect functionallity at all. The color is actually a light grey. I would prefer a Tan one but can't justify the cost when I have one that works.

Go to Sewell parts ( mini.sewellparts.com, a frequent advertiser on this site) and look under the MINI parts section for the Countryman.
It is located in the R60 Replacement Parts/Mounting Parts, Center Rail section Part #14 (numerouns part numbers due to production splits). I looked it up today and with your NAM discount it was around $20, $32 with shipping.
I've been contemplating getting one for between my front seats (no armrest) and I do not use the Iphone holder so I have the mount.

I'm in the same boat - no armrest and could use a cup holder on the front rail. I don't use/need sunglasses case - could I use the mount from that for another cup?

Yes, all of the rail accessories use the same mount. I'm sure you can order this from any MINI dealer so as to avoid the shipping costs.

I've got the rear bench too and bought the cupholder. It doesn't fit well. It gets in the way of the handbreak and the rail is made so that the mount won't work in front of the break handle. It wouldn't fit anyway. It may work if you don't have the armrest.

All of our prices include the required bracket to allow attachment to and quick removal from the center rail....simple push and click install...

I'm assuming the vertical phone holder accommodates the iPhone 5? Anyone have experience w/ that?

...yes, it will fit. The adjustable clamp system will self adjust to fit the width...

Does anyone have pictures of their setup for the front rail? I have the 5 seated option so I don't have the extra long rail. I can't really find an effective way to position the vertical phone cradle so that the connect cable isn't stretched.

I'll try to snap a photo later. I do not have connected. I went the ProClip route due to the lack of space on a small rail. I purchased this ProClip: http://www.proclipusa.com/brodit-veh...662-18526.aspx

I got a 30 pin connector extension which I snaked under the rail over to the ProClip. Its basically a perfect fit. This is the connector I got.

After I got the phone mounted, there is enough room for the sunglass holder and cup holder on the rear of the rail. I'm happy with the setup. I'm tempted to take the sunglass holder off the rail to get more of the accent light visible at night.

Ok here is what I got...sorry for the quality of photos. So I looped the y-cable to the left and it connects to the 30 pin extension which goes under the rail. I then hide the cord under the trim by the passenger seat then it pops out by the cup holder and up to the ProClip.
