R60 Ages of R60 owners?
Ages of R60 owners?
59 Male
There's a long-running thread collecting the ages of Mini drivers. There are quite a few teens and twenty-somethings!
I suspect that R60 owners trend somwhat older because a) there's less of a pre-owned market, so affordability will be more challenging; and b) the CM is a more practical vehicle.
Ok, I'm probably way above the median at 59, but what does our age profile look like?
(As the poll function isn't available...and please don't hijack this thread for that discussion... I suggest age and gender on the top line to make it easier to find).

saved up for a while since i have been a mini fanatic since the first mr.bean episode, and am a huge rally fan. I would buy r56 but i have muscle problems and need the ride height to get out of the car easy so the r60 came out at the perfect time. helped that i got a good deal on my old ride. i am a cheap ***** when it comes to spending money on anything besides cars. video games can suck it.

45 Female.
Bought my 2011 CMS4 used with only 6500 miles. I was very fortunate to find one in a manual shift and at a pretty good price. I have had it for a couple of weeks now and love it. I have no complaints. I just have to get used to all the different controls. It drives great in the snow and handles like a champ.

35. Male. First Mini.
No family, but wanted the 4-door space for the comfort occasional passengers and cargo. Previous cars in chronological order: Hyundai Accent (early 20s), Audi A3 (late 20s), Volvo C30 (early 30s), CM All4 (mid-30s).

This is my 4th Mini. 1st: 1961 Austin Mini Cooper (age 19). 2nd 1967 A. Cooper S (age 24), 3rd 2005 MCS hardtop, age 58, now R60 CMSA4 on order. All manuals. Some reasons: I like winter sports and have to travel over CA/OR highways where sometimes chains are required if no AWD. Also my grandkids are now too big to fit in back of the 05 hardtop! And sometimes I travel on remote dirt/gravel roads to backpacking/hiking trailheads, so extra traction is nice. But mainly I like the way it motors, of course.

Second MINI.
First was a 2009 MCS, which came back from near death after an intersection smack, but was never quite the same.
The R60 is a much improved vehicle in almost every way over the R56. Biggest change - how much better the newer run-flats ride.

I liked rallying my '67 BMW 1602tii 'way back when, and haven't had a similarly rewarding driving arrangement since. My ALL4 is my first MINI (although a friend and I rallied one in the 70s) and it satisfies my desire for a 5-door AWD hatch with good performance and handling
BTW
