Flat load floor option gone?

I noticed last night that the flat load floor option is gone when you build a CM, and only pops up when you select a bench seat.

My All4 order includes the $250 flat load floor option with the two separate rear seats. Did I get charged for something people now will get for "free"?

i think if you have the 2 split seats in the back you can opt in for $250 to get the flat load floor option. or you can opt not to pay for a flat load floor. but its an add as a special feature/accessorie or whatever.

However if you got the bench it is automatically added (no choice). I got the bench and noticed this option auto selected. I asked my MA and he explained that it was an automatic charge with the bench seat. So the benchseat is not actually free but costs $250 (false advertising).... and the seatback itself IS the flat load floor!!! annoying!

I see. What i noticed is the $250 flat load floor option isn't even available as an option for 2 split seats on the website now (unless you choose the bench seat, which, as you said, automatically forces you to get the $250 flat load floor option).

Flat Load floor option on MINI Countryman

It is still showing as an option on www.miniusa.com
scroll down from Design to Dash Door Trim
go down 5 rows and it is the 2nd option across

Became a mandatory option on bench seat orders after 11/1. I agree it is borderline false advertising. My price was increased after I placed the order and I am still disputing the charge.

Just picked up my CM this evening here in Honolulu. First thing I noticed was I didn't see that "double" floor I remember seeing when building my CM on the website. Yes, I was charged $250 since we did order the bench. What we received was not what was expected. If you're getting the reg bucket seats, they say now that basically you just have an open boot/cavity if you don't add the flat load floor. Kinda irked me, felt taken advantage of and tricked. We need the flat load floor, but was expecting it to be set up differently. Other than that, I lOVE the car! Only got to drive it home, was only 15 min drive... Can't wait to drive it tomorrow!!!

Thanks to Sealy it's possible to see what the "flat load floor" looked like as of earlier times.

I would have been pretty hot about it if I'd found no cover over the boot bin as a standard provision with four bucket seats. I would have been equally hot if I'd paid more and gotten only one cover, given the earlier information from MINI. It seems like, for those people who ordered based on what has turned out to be out-of-date information, there should be some conversations with the dealer.

As for the newcomers, it looks like MINI has figured out another way to mine the options funding while simultaneously reducing what is provided...

After seeing the double flat load floor (thanks Sealy!) I think all that floor would be too much with the bench seat. It would have to store against the seat backs or on top of the boot floor.
The bench seat doesn't really need a floor over it IMO. But yeah, don't tell me "free bench seat" when it means I have to pay $250 for the floor. It honestly would have sounded better to me to have them charge $250 for the whole shebang.

The way the dealer explained it to me was the the floor that comes with the bench seats is really a back cover for the seats so people don't see what is in the boot and the flat load floor is an option, so when it is up you can still have a flat floor.

As for the bench it does not come with the barrier/floor because of the room it takes up, so the flat load floor is a reqiurement to get a flat floor in the rear.

It must be spring! They're spreading the fertilizer all around. This load floor thing has been a PIA from the get go. Unfortunately, it's just one of MINI's interesting ways to keep it's people in the dark while ensuring it gets as much money as possible from us. You've got a better chance of getting a straight answer in some of the bars I frequent.

Seay - Who thanks Tybeegirl for the update on the price of a shebang.
