Time Lines

Hey everyone!

So after tons of research on the CM and price, we're getting close to ordering.

About how long has everyone waited from order date to delivery? I've heard every where from 1 month to 3-4 months.

Hi!

I ordered mine 1/13/12 and my production slot is in Feb. They told me from their 8-10 weeks.

May I ask which dealer you are working with...Momentum, Woodlands, Clearlake?

Thanks!

Hey garmjoe, what color line did you order with your CMS?

Well right now we aren't sure. We had gotten a pretty good deal using our Costco membership with a dealership in El Paso, but found out the price to have the car shipped here, on top of everything else would be $600. We could pick it up but that's a full days drive, so it would have be a two or three day thing.
So we are going to go back to Momentum Mini and see if they can't match the price from El Paso Mini.

I order Max on 3/14/11. I do not remember when he went in to production, I think it was around the end of March. He boarded the ship Auriga Leader on April 14 (my birthday). I picked him up on May 21st. I have 10,000 miles + on him. He has been fun to drive so far.

From date of order to arriving at my dealer took exactly 8 weeks. You can count on about 2 weeks at each stage of the track my mini on the Mini Lounge. It can take a little longer depending on when you Mini is ready to ship and whether there is room on the next ship. If you catch the tail end of a ship filling up you may get a little sooner, if the next ship just started the day before, it may be longer. From the hundreds of threads I've read 8 weeks is pretty much the norm.

Also note that each dealership has an allotment. If they can grab one of their uncommitted cars and alter it to your specs, you save time. If they already have a full order, you'll have to wait for the next group. All in all, the 6 to 8 weeks is about it.

Sealy - Who also notes that Pure Red takes a bit longer 'cause they take the time to make sure it's perfect.

MiniMouse17:

My specs are: Ordered (01.13.2012): 2012 mini cooper s countryman-6spd/light white-black roof-bonnet stripes/tech & sport pkgs/carbon black lounge leather/bench seat/heated seats/dual pane panoramic sunroof/mini-connected/alarm/black headlight housings/18" black double spoke wheels.

I've been passing the one that Momentum has on the platform in front of their dealership everyday that looks like the one I ordered and it's not making my wait any easier. I was glad to hear of everyone's discounts especially the local ones...I am planning to work with my sales person more on getting closer to that "truecarvalue" discount. Good Luck!

Yeah that would be hard!
We ordered today 1-21-12 from Plano Mini. Gave us the best deal. My husband thinks we'll have it be March, but I'm not going to get my hopes us. When she's here, she's here. That's all I got. I can't let myself go crazy!

Ordered mine on 10/29, production on 11/3 and delivered NYC port 12/15, picked up LI dealer on 12/23 but was at dealer on 12/21. Had port installed options that probably took a few days. I had my dealer's last production slot.
