If you have a build date of 03/2011 or earlier, and have the Navigation and MINI Connected option, please post here. I have some questions for you. Thanks!

Okay, questions:
1. Do you have Bluetooth Audio Support?
2. Under Connected, is there a Plugin option?

My production date was 2011-02-03 (I'm not sure if that's February 3 or March 2). I do have Connected and do have Bluetooth Audio Support. I have an Android phone, not an iPhone, and it was discovered immediately and automatically upon first use.
The Plugin Option is visible, leading to a "no compatible device" message and an invitation to "Connect external device via USB."

I picked up my MINI in February 2011. Yes, I have the "plugin" show up when the iPod is connected and "connected" is selected. True Bluetooth audio is something I don't think I have, nor did I believe it was offered in this car. I assume you mean the bluetooth audio that transfers songs via bluetooth to the car's stereo, not bluetooth transfer of phone functions.

If I do have true bluetooth audio, please let me know!

you can do BT audio, but not while its connected via the y cable.

First you have to go to the phone options in the Connected menu and enable BT audio on the selected phone. Then you would select the audio from the multimedia tab. You won't get album art, and I don't believe you an select the playlist or anything from the Connected, you have to do that on the phone. But you can push the next track button and volume via the in car controls.

The next time you plug the phone in, a screen will pop up and tell you it can't do BT and USB audio and the BT audio is disabled. So you'd have to repeat to step 1 again.

I believe BT audio is only available with the bluetooth phone preparation with wiring (where the armrest can take snap-in adapters) option code is 6NE. I have bluetooth phone preparation only (no wiring) option code 6ND and I have NO Bluetooth audio streaming and NO plugin in CONNECTED. Feb '11 Build.

It's coded a bit different in Canada:

ZBE - Navigation Package 2011
- On-board Navigation System
- Voice Control
- MINI Connected
- Communication Box
- Canada US Navigation DVD
ZGK - Comfort Package (2011)
- Glass Sunroof
- Media Connect
- Heated Front Seats
- Bluetooth/USB Audio Interface (Replaces 6ND when
ordered with ZBE or ZMY)
ZOD - Lights Package
- Foglights
- Lighthouse (Rain Sensor, Bi-Xenon Headlights, Adaptive
Headlights, White Indicator Lights)
ZOF - Sport Package
- Sports Suspension
- 18in Turbo-Fan Light Alloy Wheel
- Sport Button
MET - Metallic Paint
LEA-G - Gravity Leather
2GU - 18in 5-Star Double Spoke Compos
4AA - Anthracite Roofliner
4U4 - 2-part Centre Rail

So, if I go by this, I *should* have it (6NE) since it replaces 6ND if ordered with ZBE, which I have.

I appreciate the info, but I'll stick to plugging it in. Seems much easier and charges the phone too.
