Bench seat head rest question

This question is for CM owner with bench seats. Is your headrest for the middle rear seat adjustable? I tried to adjust mine, but I'm only able to adjust the two on the side but not the middle one

Yes; but i keep mine lowered unless, rarely, anyone's using it as it restricts rear vision when up.

It is slightly adjustable but apparently US safety regulations mandate a minimum height for all the headrests and that prevents them from lowering against the top of the seats. Supposedly there are spacers inserted in the US models. That being said, supposedly there is a way to remove the spacers. That will be my next down time project. But the headrests can be removed and the rear vision really isn't impacted too much. I'm 5'8" and have no problem with rear visibility.

Just curious - - - can that center section be removed? Like, if you wanted to put a rail in there?

Center section of the seat or the headrest? The center headrest can be removed but the seat cushion appears to be all one piece. I will probably post some pictures to my gallery tomorrow. Already dark in my neck of the woods.

BTW I just had my 6'5" friend checking out the back seat and even with the sunroof he still had headroom much to his surprise.

Just joshing with you bench people. I assume if you took the center section out and put in a rail, you'd be back where we started.

ALL headrests can be lowered to be flush with the top of the seat back or removed completely. Just press BOTH the buttons (1 and 2) on the headrest collar at the same time while pushing down or pulling up.

We have all our headrests in the full down position and the center rear bench headrest removed completely. In the full down position, the headrest still contacts the center back of our noggins.

Wow, looks like you need three hands to adjust the headrests!

Just have to use your head. "Literally"
House key worked to push in the left side (looking to rear of car).

Sealy is a W.A.

Seriously, I have family in NOVA and Columbia MD. You never know who you might bump into on road trips!

At first I balked over the bench seat but my other half will be driving this car at least 50% of the time and probably more once I order my Roadster. She wanted the bench seat, I got the driving lights.

What really pissed me off is the rail accessories are knocked down to only the sun glass holder for bench seat cars. I told my MA she needed to score me the iPhone holder. She emailed that she "borrowed" one from the floor model. I'm picking it up tomorrow.

If it make you feel any better, most of the rail bits are pretty useless. Not unlike the rail itself. Once you get the phone holder, you'll be wondering why.

Sealy - Who's afraid to ask what a W.A. is.

You got me with the bench seat rail, I knew I was going to get you back on that one. Remember I am from NY. W.A. (wise _ _ _)

I just want the holder to put my iTouch in it. I guess I felt cheated, how silly is that?

BTW the USB port with a flash drive is just as good for music. I use a 8GB drive and it works as well as the iTouch and is very stealthy.

Nope sure as hell can't, it can fold down to make an armrest or to poke skis thru.
