I was just trying to order floor mats from shopminiusa and they have different part numbers for pre 7/2011 and post 7/2011 cars. Is anyone aware of footwell modifications?

I'm not aware of any changes
I ordered a set of 2011 Countryman weathertech mats and they fit perfectly in our 2012. YMMV

For some reason I thought that they added the reflective trim for the '12 floor mats. I don't remember them being an option for my '11. They may have been, but I just got the rubber mats.

Sounds right. The stock mats we for
With our 12 have a reflective
Border trim.... That would explain the new part
number

If that were the only difference, the parts would be described differently and the new mats would be available for '11 as well. Does your '12 have fasteners in the foot wells to hold the mats or do the mats just lay flat on the carpeting?

The reflective trim mats on my '12 MCS have velcro spots that hold them down.

I was thinking may be '12s have fasteners and hence the differentiation but back to square one
