Anyone want to swap seats?

Hey, I'm getting my countryman next week [being delivered to my dealer], and when I ordered it, not wanting too much leather as a vegan, I paid the extra $1000 for the cloth and leatherette seats. The db didn't tell me I had an option of all cloth seats for free, and when I found out from another source and contacted the factory, my mini was already at the port awaiting shipment.
Is there anyone who wants to swap their cloth seats [don't care if they're used] for brand new cloth/leatherette seats?

Good to know there are some vegans hanging out on this site. A friend of mine refused to buy a MINI since they couldn't accommodate his preferences regarding the leather wrapped steering wheel. FWIW, I think the leatherette seats are vegan.

That makes more sense given the $1000 surcharge. Would seat covers ease the issue for you, or do you just want as much leather out of the car as possible? I wear synthetic driving gloves so I don't touch the leather steering wheel.

Get some WETOKOLE...You really are not buying real leather...It was ECO Leather.

Maybe your MA can swap out the leather ones for some cloth or leatherette...when it arrives at the dealership.

yeah, my MA kinda sucks [haha], but I was planning on asking. [the original real mini guy I talked to was not working for a bit when I ordered, and this other guy from that knows about the other cars the dealership sells, and has never even driven a mini, ended up putting my order through. not a fan]. As for just covering them up, if someone already is planning on "upgrading" to leather or part leather, i'd rather have a swap as to not make an increase in leather demand blah blah blah. Hence the swap.

For the ALL4 the choices are:
(standard) leatherette carbon black [what we got]
(option level 1) leather + cloth, either light tobacco or pure red accents
[apparently this is what you got]
(option level 2) leather "gravity" either carbon black or polar beige
(option level 3) leather "lounge" either carbon black or light coffee

If you want to swap for cloth, you need to find someone with a justa CM who chose the sport seats with the cloth option.

If you want to swap for the leatherette, we'll be in the Sacramento area next weekend.

can't the dealer try to accommodate this by just getting another countryman's cloth and swapping you new ones? if they have one on the lot see if they can do that. I really didn't like leather myself nor the leatherette's, i changed them out to suede.

I didn't find one in the western U.S. online inventory- Maybe contacting AskMINI would get someone to check the database for ordered configurations?

I'm sure you can find someone that would do that, as the plain cloth seats only available on the non- s CM, are not sport seats, like all the CM S options.

I know at a dealership...someone made a mistake on their order, the dealership kept the car and let that person re-order their car.

Can you see if they can do that?

How about getting them re-upholstered?

Can't you buy a different set of MINI seats and have them change them out an then sell the leather one?

Can't you sell the leather seats and put in some Recaro or Sparco seats?

If you can go with the standard vinyl seats, and if you are planning on attending the MINIs in the Mountains this week, I'll switch with you! No animals were hurt/injured in producing these "fine vinyl/leatherette" seats............
