not only the radio presets, but the other personization settings like daytime running lights and single or 3 flash turn signals are stored in the key fob

Probably a stupid question, but does it only do this if you have mini connected with an iphone, or does the on-board computer play this? Sorry, total newbie here.

I just bought my Countryman S last week and I have to say the tweaks to the car are interesting when I compare it to my 2007 MC.
One thing I noticed is that Sports Mode now lets you go into 6th gear on the auto trans. Before, I'd have to upshift into 6th while in sports mode on the Freeway.
Connected app is great but keep in mind the mini iPhone y cable doesn't "fast charge" your iPhone. I've had lighter plugs do it faster but I'll take the integration any day.
