Mini Presets

Got an email saying I could set up presets for my new CM (radio, door locking preferences, daytime headlight settings)... but the Web site isn't working.

Has anyone has success with this?

I realize that it isn't much of a time saver to have these things set up in advance, but kind of cool if they can be.

Yeah didn't work for me either and apparently it doesn't work for a lot of other people too. I don't know why they send it if it doesn't work!

Didn't work for me either. Maybe 866-Ask-Mini could help with that? Anyone talked to them about it?

If it is anything like my MCS, it is all done through the button on the turn signal ****. I have all my things set where I want them and it is automatically saved on my key fob.

I do not think the CM is different.

Good Luck!

I got a similar e-mail after I ordered my MC, that didn't work. I talked to my MA about it and he said he'd never heard of that e-mail before.

Right? Only if life was that easy.... No it's a site where you specify your preference, then the information is transmitted to your dealer or port where it will be configured for you before the delivery (supposedly... ) however, only thing it returns when you try to submit your info is the error page!!

It's a customized link. MINI will send you an email if you've provided one at the time of ordering with your dealership.

I provided one when ordering but haven't received any email yet with this.

From what I understand, all it is is a form that gets sent to your dealer so that they can program your radio presets and personal profile settings before you pick it up. Took less than 5 minutes for me to do myself when I took delivery. Kind of a cool idea though...

....if the website worked...

So can the CM be programmed much like any of the other MINIs? When I bought my R53 they gave me a long check list of things to turn on and off. I was hoping to do the same for the R60.

These were some of the things I was hoping to turn on/off
Daytime running lights
Windows down and sunroof open with keyfob
Mirrors with keyfob
Minimal seatbelt warning

Oh, and how many keyfobs does it come with?

Thank you,
Cameron Minich

I can answer a few of your questions. I got two keyfobs. You have to program them separately. I was able to customize daytime running lights, door lock, and lane change signal (1 or 3) on the R60. I don't remember having sunroof, window, or seatbelt options. It may vary depending on whether you have Connected - I see there's more customization with that system, which I don't have.

Two keyfobs that can be programmed separately, that's darn cool. Thank you for the info, that is good start. It sure sounds like you can setup a lot of different options.

Thank you!

I filled out the form and they did nothing with it. 5 minutes I will never get back.

Is this something Mini tried early on and gave up on?
