Pre-delivery pics...but I'm psyched!

Looks like my 18's came with the Pirelli's. Curious what yours will come with.

But I'm really glad you got yours!

I know...I'm stunned myself. Have you driven over to your dealer just to check out the lot? I see my mud flaps aren't installed yet. I'm also contemplating bonnet stripes....

As I walked the lot I saw three Light Whites recently dropped off and not prepped. The first two had the wrong wheels, and to be honest, I don't see many with these 18" wheels. As I looked inside and saw my leatherette and tobacco interior, I KNEW it was her! VIN on the window sticker verified

I'm in a RACE to get my wrx cleaned up to sell and we aren't having great weather right now (it snowed last night). But here are some more pics to tide you over As you can see there is a wee bit of snow on her boot. Welcome to Utah TQ!

I will be picking it up in a couple of hours, and I'll be sure to post pics ASAP.

Adios!

No pics of mine, yet-too busy drivin'!

Sport suspension is not too harsh, but I like a rough ride. It doesn't feel quite as quick as MCS (obviously), but it turns like a ****. A lot quicker turning than I expected, and no body roll that I can tell.

Connected works well, but I wonder why there is the Plugin, when all of the music is accessible through the CD/Multimedia menu. It duplicates almost all of the functionality. Just seems relatively redundant and unnecessary. Anyone have any ideas on this?

Otherwise the rest of the Connected stuff works very well, and I'm not sure what other people have had problems with.

One issue is what Flyer53 had previously-I didn't get an authorization code for the navigation. My MA says it should come in their mail in a day or two. We'll see, and until then, I have no nav.

Didn't get the driving lamps after all because they are a dealer-installed accessory, and the mounting kit is apparently not available yet, so I just passed on it.

Finance person tried to get me to buy what seemed like 12 different warranties and coverages, but I declined all of them.

The stereo isn't quite as good as I was expecting, and I could see doing an upgrade there at some point.

No other problems or issues.

Sport button is on at all times. I haven't had much time to use the paddle shifters.

It came with 24 miles on it, and now it has 286 in less than 24 hours.

Yeah, it's fun!

Picked mine up this morning and of course it's been raining all day (Seattle... ), so no good pics yet, but I managed to fire off a couple in the meantime...

Driving dynamic is SO much different than my '04 Acura TL, but I love it so far. Connected will definitely take some getting used to, but I purchased the CravenSpeed scissor mount to hold the phone by the tach, with a dock connector extension cable so Connected still works.

The white wheels are way better looking in person than I was expecting and I was a little unsure about how the chrome would turn out, but I'm happy now!

Northwest MINI was awesome...the whole process was very smooth and delivery took no more than an hour and a half from start to finish (I might have read the manual a couple times beforehand - sped things up a bit ). If anyone goes to MINI NW, talk to Brad Davis - best experience I've had buying a car. He was really patient and never rushed me or made me feel stupid. You can tell he likes what he does.

I'll try and post a bunch of pictures this weekend when I have time. I still have to replace a few lights with LEDs and pics of my badge holder for the grill.

HAPPY MOTORING!!! WHOO HOO!!!

I'll be hard to miss! Look for the true blue CM with white trim, skull and crossbones on the grill and the guy with a giant grin behind the wheel

If you get a chance, I would love to see your Craven Speed mount and phone setup... I've been considering the same....

Thumbs up tomorrow's the day!

Sirius and rsbell: CONGRATS TO YOU BOTH

I am taking delivery tomorrow evening (I finally have a free evening!) and I'm psyched! My MA had my mudflaps installed and I have been contemplating bonnet stripes (this will occur at a later time). Full hood clearbra (Venture Shield) is planned but waiting on wide roll so will do temp bra on Friday and then I'll be ready to start racking up miles. Woo hoo!

Sirius: I'd also really like to see pics of your Craven Speed mounts/hook up.

rsbell: You probably have 600 miles on her by now! Interesting about the stereo. I'm coming from a really sh*ty stereo so I'll be blown away. I liked your comments about handling. I wonder how much the 18" wheels and your suspension has to do with that? The driving lights would have been for looks anyway with the adaptive xenons!

Both of you: Do you have Pirelli tires? Did either of you do a clearbra and if so, how much of the hood and which material?

Cheers-

WHOO HOO! Finally!

I'll get pics off the car and Craven Speed mount this weekend...it's just too rainy this week and work has me running ragged as it is so I just haven't had time /excuses .

I do have the Pirellis with my 18"s.

Not doing clearbra, but still contemplating it...if I do it, it wouldn't be from the dealer...prices are ridiculous. There's a shop that does clearbra installs close to me and my club gets a discount there too.

I hear you on the work stuff...same boat here. Pre-thanks for Craven Speed pics! Sounds awesome.

I'm not doing dealer clearbra (or tint) install either. Have a better connection and expert installer doing custom cuts. Looks like $375 for partial hood or $600 for full hood, bumper, mirrors, etc. (leaning towards that as I don't dig the cut line 18" up on my current car.) I have WAY too many nicks on other cars with interstate driving (3 gravel pits in our area) so it's a must IMHO. I would highly recommend. Everyone keeps saying the Mini paint is soft. I think Subie wrx paint is horrid, so it has to be better than that.

The FIRST Countryman I saw in person was a Cosmic Blue with WHITE 18's like yours. Made me WANT it! Love your white stripes and chrome mirror caps with your set up.

Hmm..$600 isn't bad...I'll have to look into that...Roads suck here in the rain- lots of sand and gravel gets kicked up.

$375 partial hood (and misc parts) = $699 at dealer
$600 full hood (and misc parts) = dealer doesn't do full hood

HUGE savings and top notch installer!

I'm **** because I won't even drive it a mile or two WITHOUT the clearbra on it!

Had some free time today, so I checked it out...they were closed for whatever reason (lame). I decided to check out a repair shop closer to home and aside from the fact their "exhaust guy" wasn't there, they wanted $160-$200 and they said they'd need it for 2 hours. I'm pretty sure I could do it much cheaper (and faster) so I passed. It's going to be hard to get this done because it seems all the exhaust places are only open M-F 9-5 and I work M-F 9-5...won't have time to get in there...

Grr...I really wanted to get it done today.

(got a lot of double takes today though when people saw my car though... )

Any warranty issues anticipated with modifying the exhaust tips (hopefully that question does not sound too stupid). I LOVE the look!

Sirius: is that a vespa S150 in your garage? Looks like it! We are scooter shopping at the moment....

I highly doubt it...they would have to prove a bigger piece of metal on the end of my exhaust somehow caused whatever damage. My dealer seems to be pretty cool anyway. My MA was interested in the exhaust tips because he agrees the stock ones are too small for the giant holes in the back.

Ha ha, yeah it's my brother's. I took the pic at his house. It's a pretty fun machine and as long as you're not riding freeway, it keeps up. I kind of wanted one for myself, but I prefer my two wheel vehicles to have a bit more oomph!

DLT: Nope, only 361 miles now.

Yes, it came with Pirellis.

Still no problems.

Yes, I would like to have some mid-range EQ control, but looks like it will have to be good enough. I came from a Prius, so I know all about terrible car audio. I had great audio in my '08 BMW 335, but that was the best stock stereo I've ever heard.

Getting lots of looks at the CM. Someone took a picture of it at Starbucks yesterday, and the valet guys at my hotel tonight LOVED the interior lights with cycling colors.

I'm really liking the web radio. I'm just glad I'm grandfathered into the unlimited data plan on my iPhone! I was driving in the dark yesterday playing some house station from Germany with the lights cycling the colors and I thought I was raving in my car!

That's all I have on new observations. Still don't have the navigation activation code. My MA says it should be tomorrow...

DLT-you're going to LOVE your new CM!
