EDIT!!! OMG...robo mini and live person mini just confirmed my car IS ON A BOAT!!!

Waiting for boat name and verification from my MA. I'm thinking it has to be the Don Quijote!

rsbell: hold off on the 335 lol

Hmm, just read your email again. I guess it must be on a KLine then! I can't wait to hear from my MA!

What?!

Ok, I'll put the checkbook away for a couple of days to see how this shakes out.

Post if your MA has a ship's name for you.

Definitely will as soon as I hear any specifics.

What's your main reason in getting the 335? Instant gratification? I'm sooo impatient.

Ok. Robo MINI just said it's "in transit", so it must be on a boat somewhere.

Sent an email to my MA to get the name of the ship. We'll see how that goes.

Well, I had an 07 335, loved it, and if I weren't getting the CM I'd be throwing my money down on another 335.

I decided I don't want to be grown up enough right now to to drive the 335, though.

Smooth sailing!!!

I am on the Don Quijote!!! Just heard from my MA. So I'm guessing you are too!

I cancelled my euro delivery of a 135 (the year of the 1) a while back because I too decided I wasnt old enough to drive a BMW I've got YEARS ahead of me before I get there.

woot! Boat buddies!

I just got an email from my MA that my MINI is enjoying the ride "across the pond" on the Don Quijote! ETA to the VDC is 3/23.

*goes back to refreshing ship tracker* (oooo look! it moved!)

Update on the Don Quijote's Position

Here is the current location of our MINIs.

The name of the ship doesn't show up, but the call sign does: 9V8797

Half way to the Panama Canal then!

I must confess I have Graz, Bremerhaven, Manzanillo and Port Hueneme on my iphone weather app What a temp extreme from Bremerhaven to Manzanillo *thinking contraction and expansion and the start of rattles*

Had to do a drive-by at the dealer yesterday to see if they had any CM's on the lot to drool over. I saw a light white and a silver, both with black tops and black glossy 17's.

The anticipation is killing me - as I hope that I am less than two weeks from being behind the wheel.

The Good News: Florida Highway left Baltimore yesterday and is heading south.

The Bad News?: I'm a little worried after checking the Week 5ers thread. Looks like a major bottleneck in the Georgia VDC.

Have any of you heard anything about this?

Is this the document font issue? I'm hoping this gets sorted out while we are still on the water!

The Don Quijote has docked in Colon, Panama.

Apparently, the captain (and I use that term loosely), has decided that after 2 weeks crossing the Atlantic, the crew needs to relax with some margaritas on the beach instead of soldier forth and deliver to us our beloved MINIs.

Clearly the crew of the Don Quijote doesn't realize we are watching every move they make, and the longer they take a siesta, the longer we have to wait!

It finally made it! LOL. Hope you got your ipad2 this morning as well!

UAL in the Week 3 thread indicated the Don Quijote was dropping off cars, so maybe that is the hang up, and not the drunken brawl we are all envisioning

Oh ok, that would make sense.

No, got there, and they said they aren't getting any in today. That really annoys me because the company line up to this point is that they don't know if they are getting any in (that's what they said on Saturday about a Saturday shipment), but they know definitively that they aren't getting any in today. I don't understand how they could know one day but not the next. Clearly they know, but they just aren't being up front and honest with their customers.

My wife says I should get a real problem...

I think it's more fun to envision the drunken brawl!

Whew...so I have been out of range for an hour and a half and I see it is still floating out a bit and waiting? Is it staging a line up? EDIT: and now she is anchored. So I guess there for a while.

And in regards to your ipad...they are probably hoarding them due to 'only being able to sell so many at a time'. I'm contemplating just ordering one (in WHITE!) on line and waiting the 3 weeks. Oh, and all of our problems are relative

Yeah, anchored and, I assume, waiting her turn to go through the canal. Excruciating, isn't it?

I went ahead and ordered online as well. If I can pick a couple up before they ship, great. But if not, I'll spend my time enjoying the CM.

Perfect!

So have you decided against the 335? I would have considered another CM color had they gotten one in with similar options that somebody passed on. I even considered placing a new order (most likely for red). However, when the white one arrives I'm sure I'll be totally taken The waiting is not good for my personality. And, as I've said before, next time around I'd probably order east coast/Atlanta and pick it up via road trip.

And where are all the other Week 6ers? Or other pending Mini owners that have vehicles on the Don Quijote?!

Mine's on there somewhere as I obsessively refresh the tracker website all day at work... I can't remember the last time I've been this anxious for something! I already have a small pile of accessories I ordered in advance for me to put on/in my car when it comes

Couple more weeks!

I found a used 2011 335 (2500 miles) at a dealer here in SoCal with all the options I would want (M Sport, Premium, Cold Weather, iDrive, etc.), at a great price, but I decided the CM is what I really want, so I've stopped looking at 335s...

Yeah, I've picked up the rubber "Cooper S" mats, matching boot mat, badge holder and collection of badges, the 2011 Countryman brochure, a 1:18 die cast model in the same color as I ordered, and the stubby antenna.

There's gotta be something I'm forgetting...
