Cool videos of how cars and other equipment are loaded and secured on vehicle carrier ships.

There's gotta be something I'm forgetting...
HA HA same... I have a badge holder for the grill and back license plate, 3-4 badges, stubby antenna, an iPhone tach mount from Cravenspeed, a license plate mount that goes into the tow hook, and yes, the 1:18 die cast model (with working steering wheel! ). Going to try and get some rubber mats from my dealer...

How's the boot mat?

Seems ok. Has a "Cooper S" logo on it.

The MINI dealer is an hour away, so I haven't actually seen it in a car, but it looks good on my floor!

I was looking for that video to watch. I have seen the show twice since a year ago.

from the video:

"...so they're tightly braced, just centimeters apart."

It's pretty impressive actually. I think I saw this on an HD Theater special two months ago (or maybe that was another ship).

Youtube kicks up another vid of a Cat 3 hurricane damage to a car carrier, mostly bmw's it looks like. I couldn't help think about the total loss damage from that load. No repairs at the VPC for that lot:

And here's a Panama Canal vid:

It's ok! We have calm seas

And as of right now it looks like the Don Quijote is passing through the Panama Canal (it's 6:08 am Mountain time)

Brilliant...the Kraken!

So does the Don Quijote drop yours off at Tacoma? That should be quicker than dropping it off at Port Hueneme and then trucking it up. Nice!

Unfortunately not.. still has to go through the VDC in Port Hueneme, then hops a truck up to Tacoma. The truck might actually be faster...that ship doesn't go very fast...

Not much longer now, in any case

Are you having any port installed accessories added? I just decided on mudflaps I'm wondering how long that delays its truck assignment?

And now it looks like the any Kraken attacks will be dealt with by the radiation wave due to hit California today

I can say without hyperbole that this is the funniest, most clever thing ever written in the history of the internet.

I love it!

I'm also getting mudflaps, but I'm having my dealer install them at the dealership instead.

It's no joke...Krakens are an ever-growing threat to the safe transport of Austrian-made cars everywhere...

Siriuszero...LOVE the banner!!!

Okay Mates! The Don Quijote is just 5 km outside of Port Hueneme right now so she got by Kraken free. Now let's see how quickly our CM's are processed into the VDC and shipped out. rsbell should get theirs first My MA indicated I WILL be taking delivery in the month of March...we will see how quickly my mudflaps are installed and TQ is trucked to SLC. We have planned a LOOOOONG Pacific Coast Highway roadtrip planned for May

I found some good 20% off discounts for MINI parts so my orders are in. Either of you order the armrest cradle yet for the iphone4/connected?

Cheers! Happy Hump Day

I would have mine on Friday (or Saturday at the latest), except I am going to Vegas to see Lady Gaga on Friday, so I will have to wait until Monday to pick up my CM.

Where'd you get 20% off?!

And what did you order?

Cool

Classic Mini is a supporting vendor on this site! 20-30% off!
I'm looking at:

Rubber boot mat (plain one)
Rearview mirror cover
Valve stem caps
Roof rack ?
Protective Boot space cover ?
Shorty antenna
Uv sunshades visor
Bike rack ?

I will lag on the bike rack stuff waiting to see what Mini Fini comes out with on the sport link system. I'm contemplating a rocket box for camping, which would exclude the need for the protective boot space cover. GoBadges should be here any day too!!!
