Nice and toasty in here!
So you'll get yours 2 weeks before us West Coasters get ours.

Enjoy your new MINI while we're constantly refreshing our browsers to watch the Don Quijote inch through the Panama Canal...

Good for you Hatchbox! Too funny on the vin

At least the Don Quijote is there (and better be loading up MASSES of Countryman right now).

Yesterday afternoon my MA indicated mine wasn't loaded up yet (or not showing) but he's checking.

I checked the KLines yesterday too and can't find where they even show these routes (though we know they do come this way). Odd.

Here is a VIN tracker for the Container Terminal at Bremerhaven where you can put in your VIN and it will tell you where it is, supposedly.

My VIN doesn't show up...

Here is a webcam that shows (I'm pretty sure) the Don Quijote:

Scott! Thanks for posting that link. I obsessively checked it yesterday from work, Still nothing on my end. I will bug my MA today for more info (again) hee hee.

Also, I looked on the WW site. Found 12 Countryman loaded on the Faust, so then I copied one of those VIN and put the last six letters/numbers into the link you gave yesterday. It still says 'unknown'. So there's hope!

LOVE the pic! PLEASE LET OUR VOYAGE BEGIN (well on the 26th as scheduled) but still!

How are you seeing how many/which CM's are on a specific WW ship? I've been entering my VIN into the WW tracking site with no luck, but it sounds like you've found a way to get a universal view of what is on the ships.

When your VIN doesn't show up, delete the last number and try again. When that doesn't show up, delete that last number and try again. Keep this up until the list comes up.

So far, nothing is showing up on the Don Quijote. Either hasn't been loaded yet or the online records haven't been updated.

I Was Wrong!

The previous pic posted by me a couple of days ago was of the Faust.

The Don Quijote has now moved into position and is taking on cars!

Nice!

Hopefully that means they'll depart tomorrow to their new mommies and daddies!

Smile FAUST Update

For those of us lucky (or auspicious ) ones with our CM on the FAUST:

I've located the ship in the tracking and the FAUST callsign is SLKQ. You can keep track of it's route here (hope this works):

http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shi...html?call=SLKQ

Last I checked it was due into NYC (aka Jersey Shore) on March 9th.

It's like watching a 2-week slow-motion suspense thriller!

Thanks for the slow motion thriller! More from our friends at wikipedia on faust:
Faust, and the adjective Faustian, are often used to describe an arrangement in which an ambitious person surrenders moral integrity in order to achieve power and success.
Maybe this is a sign of why I ordered MINI Connected

Don Quijote has left the building!

No info posted yet on the VIN tracker, though, and my MA hasn't confirmed what ship I'm on (if I'm on one at this point).

Anybody got confirmation that they're on the Don Quijote?

Mine hasn't shown up, my MA doesn't show it being onboard, and no VINs are coming up with the VIN search...

Mini OL tracker says "En Route" - which means its on a boat, right?

VIN does not show on WW site for:
Fidelio 2.16
Faust 2.23
Courage 2.24
Those are the only 3 rides that have left since my production date completed that go to the Brunswick port where I think Texas vehicles enter.

Any thoughts? Is it possible I am on K-line instead of WW?

Hard not be excited now.

@Sail_ATX: You can figure out for certain which port you're going into from your Vehicle Inquiry Report. The port location code for Brunswick is SSIPOA. Lots more details about how to track your car in the "How to Track Your Car" thread in the 1st Gear area of the message boards.

Sounds like you're probably on a K line boat. I'm still stuck on status "Awaiting Transport"...hoping to get on this week's boats!

Thank you.

Just got an update from my MA.

Mine got a ride on the K-Line - the Florida Highway is the name of the ship. Departed 2.24 and arrives in Brunswick 3.9

Good news and right on the schedule they estimated when I placed my order.

for some odd reason, MINIs headed to the West Coast don't seem to ever appear in the WW database. my car arrived at the VDC last week, but I could never get any BMW or MINI VINs to come up for the voyage #...

and my MA didn't know how to look up what ship Chase was on until I suggested he check with his Sales Manager

An educational interlude...

...for all those anxiously refreshing the tracking website (me):

A couple videos behind the scenes on how our cars get from over there to over here. Enjoy.

I have been out of town the since last Friday and am just catching up.

Thanks for the vids! I need something to feed my anxiety while we sit at the port.

rsbell: I FEAR we are still, in fact, sitting there. My MA indicated they are waiting for other vehicles to be completed before they load Uh........

I don't understand why west coast minis sit there SO long and then are un-trackable. What a drag. Too much info is not good for me. I guess I'm better off not knowing the schedule of completion.

I don't think the next WW ship leaves until 3/11, my birthday, and it is the Tristan. All along I felt destined for that date but wouldn't acknowledge it. Maybe there is a KLine sooner!!!!? If not? We are looking at around April 5 at the Port.

I haven't wanted to admit it, but I think you're right.

Unless there is a K-Line ship soon, we're probably waiting for the Tristan.

Maybe this is my opportunity to just go with a 335, have it now, and call it even...

Finally some VINs are showing up as on the Don Quijote.

It looks like the DQ didn't take on ANY MINIs or BMWs at Bremerhaven.

It is taking a lot of MINIs on in Southampton, but none at Bremerhaven, so either we get lucky and wind up on a K-Line and it shows up mysteriously in Port Hueneme in a few weeks, or we have to sit around for another 2 weeks before the Tristan pulls into Bremerhaven, then wait another 3 weeks on top of that.

Yeah, that 335i is looking better and better...
