Online Genuine Mini Parts

Is it possible to order the JCW aero package for the Countryman through an online retailer? Priced out in Canada, the cosmetic package is $6495 (painted and installed). Ouch.

What does this figure come with, just the aero + taxes?

I believe it is aero, paint, install, but taxes on top.

If your Countryman is white, you can order the kit in the pre-painted white otherwise it is primed for painting.

I would suggest checking with a few MINI dealers on the east coast, but you import and tax may eat the savings.

That is way too much! Your dealer is scr@$^* you. I suggest you ask a reputable after market car dealer to get them for you as they can order it from Mini Canada with less margin and have someone else install it. Or if you want an authorized dealer to install the aero (whgich I suggest) call Mini Yaletown service department. Look for Graham (Service Manager). Tell him I refered you-Black Countryman with JCW kit on, he will give you better piricing than what you are getting...
It's gonna be quite a drive for you but it will save you at least a grand.

Thanks for the advice. I did call and talk to them and they informed me that they could only source a primed version of the aero kit for around $2100CDN. They also told me that there is a kit that comes for $7400 (without labour) which includes the JCW wheels. That clued me in to the fact that my local dealer's $6495 must have included the JCW wheels as well.

With this rumor that there may be a street WRC Countryman coming, possibly showing in September in Frankfurt, I am seriously considering delaying my order. The only concern is that my dealer mentioned that the Canadian allotment for Countrymen is about 1200 for this year and my dealer is allowed 3 per month. Hard to tell if waiting is the right approach either. Analysis paralysis.
