Jk...had to done though

Quick Question. Since Mini Didnt decide to spring the extra 50 cents and make the Sunroof Toggle an automatic switch is there anyway to purchase a Window toggle and replace it with the sun roof toggle switch to make into a one push operation like the windows?

And Why do you poeple Wave at me on the road? Is this something I should get used to lol ??

Well the toggle is nothing for than a lever that pushed one of two contact switches. The auto portion is down in the car's programming and most likely can not be done unless you get an auto open module. I do not know if any are yet made and tested on a CM but I believe the first gen cars have then available and I never looked at the R56, yet. So no switch can be swapped and get what you want, it is either a separte module that has some sort of power, ground, and input signal to control the sunroof that you would have to ad in-line of the harness or programmed by the dealer (less likely).

Waving, its a MINI thing...embrace the love from a fellow MINI owner and reciprocate. It seems to be a dying trend but I still wave at every MINI I see, but sadly get maybe 1 out of 10 back. :( The old people here don't pay enough attention where or how they drive, let alone to another "cute car like theirs"

Another crack like that and I'll whomp you upside your head with my cute little cane.

The wave is regional, generational, individual, and a product of our times. I have the same situation with my 2004 Thunderbird. Sometimes I wave at other T-Birders and the reactions range from a WTF look to outright hostility. But I've never gotten a wave back.

Hey!!! I'm an old people. I wave at every mini I see. Sadly with about 1 in 10 wave backs. Why don't you come to Texas and we can wave at each other and feel much better.

You can buy the auto open Sunroof relay. An aftermarket vendor sells it but I can't remember who right now...

I believe FES is who sells them, but I don't know if they came up with one for the Countryman yet.

I am refering to the people who generally down here drive their Lincolns and Grand Marquis and decided to downsize because they keep running into the columns of their carport at the condo they live in for 6 months a year.

But point still taken, no age discrimination here...I dislike most people equally if they give me a reason

Does the remote open the Sunroof as it does with the windows? I don't have a sunroof but this might help with the manual button to open it.....

I believe it's a fob programmable option. Certainly does it on my MCS '04.
