Anyone on the Triton Leader or Talia get the "Discharged from vessel" message yet on the WWL tracking site?
I was never able to find a ship manifest for the Talia or the Triton Leader on the WWL site. Unless I've been looking in all the wrong places. It would be nice to see if it says my car is off the ship yet.
It took the Maersk Wind (arrived at Port of Hueneme one day prior to the Triton Leader and Talia) 24 hour to have her MINI automobile discharge data to be updated. I could tell the data was from the Maersk Wind by looking at the Voyage number.
Hi UAL....yes, our MCS was discharged from the Talia yesterday at 3pm. Thanks so much for the pictures as the ship went through the Panama Canal and San Diego harbor. I think I told you that our MA called us about 2 weeks ago and said that our car was arriving in port the next day. We had just tracked it through the Panama Canal and knew it would take another week! Told him this, but he was so sure. Dropped by the dealership on Saturday because we were in the area (we live 50 miles away) and wanted to tell them not to bolt on a front license plate frame. He still insisted that it was in port (over a week after he had called us!). Anyhow, I called today to get an estimate of when they think it would get to their dealership. Luckily our MA was off today (I was hoping he was!) and spoke with another MA who knows how to track a vehicle. He said it was already released to the trucking unit and should arrive at the dealership tomorrow or Saturday at the latest!! I was expecting sometime next week. So after 12 weeks, the wait is finally coming to an end. I guess we can handle another day or two of waiting.
What is going on with the Countryman tracking? MINI and WWL is making it very difficult for people to track their Countryman. People don't even know if their car is even on a ship yet.
On a brighter note, the three ships (Maersk Wind, Talia, and Triton Leader) that dropped off MINIs in Port of Hueneme the last couple of days were all at Bremerhaven in early February. All three ships combined discharged a total of 644 MINIs at Port of Hueneme. If your Countryman was at Bremerhaven at that time, I am sure your car was on one of those three ships. Good luck to you all.

I am so happy to hear that your car will most likely be ready for pickup this weekend. I will be picking up my car next Saturday, March 19. This is my third time tracking a MINI within the past year and half. When I thought my car was going to be loaded on the Maersk Wind, I began tracking it in Germany. I even took a webcam capture of it in Bremerhaven. When I found out my car was on the Talia, I erased the picture.

Londonblue: We were told by our dealership that our car was "Priority 1 Status". They said that cars that were special ordered get pulled first. So nice to hear that after such a long wait. Call your dealership. They can check your VIN # and see what has been done with your MINI since it got off the ship.
I guess my car has gone off for a joy ride since apparently my MA doesn't know if it's off the boat, on the boat, at the VDC, on a truck.
He did say that it should be at the dealership by Tuesday at the latest so hopefully it's actually on it's way and I just haven't heard from my MA yet.
OL, as always, is of no help and says my car is still En Route.

Well, it is 5pm PST and no word from my MA yet. I didn't think the car will be ready for pickup this weekend anyway. With three ships all arriving at the same time, there is no way they can process over 600 MINIs in three days.
Picked up our MINI Friday night!!!! It was processed through the VDC on Thursday (after getting off the ship Wednesday afternoon) and the dealer received it Friday morning. We picked it up at 5 pm. Will post pictures when the accessories are installed. Being first time MINI owners, we were disappointed that they were not installed when we came to get it. Miscommunication on our MA's part.....he led us to believe we would receive it just the way we ordered it. I guess I can see that they don't install accessories on a car that only has a deposit on it. But it would have been nice to be prepared for that! We bring it back in a week when all the parts are in. Luckily our MA was not there. He gave us so much wrong information throughout the whole ordering and waiting process.
Hopefully everyone can find out where their car is. A knowledgeable MA at MINI of San Diego could look up exactly what our car was up to from the time it left the ship.
Our MCS is named Dawg and he is so happy to finally be home!

Did you not have the financing paperwork done before the car arrived? I'm surprised to hear that the dealer didn't install any of the accessories...

On the one I'm picking up this week, the driving lights will not be installed since there is a back up on the new brackets required for the lights. My MA let me know a few weeks ago, which is all he can do and that's fine with me. He gave me the option of going ahead and putting them on the final invoice so they could be financed along with the car if I go that route. I told him to scrap the lights, since I may look into some others in the meantime.
Annette
Enjoy your new car!

It sounds like your MA dropped the ball.
You should not have to pay for your car until all the accessories you ordered are installed. The only time you would need to pay in advance is if you decided to add accessories to your purchase after your purchase price was already negotiated. What kind of accessories need to be added?
I am getting sport stripe, roof graphic, mirror caps, and side scuttles. My MA said the accessories are installed at the VDC. I don't know if he meant only the graphics or everything. When the car got off the ship, I sent my MA an email reminding him of the accessories I ordered and told him not to drill my front bumper. When he wrote back, there was no mention I had to pay for the car before they would install stuff. When my friend, Lynn, purchased her Clubman from South Bay MINI last year, the accessories were all installed before she went in to pick up her car.
On a side not, BMW no longer does the auto processing at the Port of Hueneme.

We added checkered mirror caps and side scuttles, chrome dual exhaust tips, driving lamps, sport stripes, JCW carbon fiber bonnet scoop, and JCW gear shift indicator. Our packages ordered were convenience, premium and sport. Options that were installed were black headlamp housings (those look great!) and a center armrest.
I think it is MINI of San Diego that dropped the ball. They want to make sure you buy the car before they put your accessories on. We spoke with the sales manager who was very nice and he said that a car like ours with all the added features would take 6-8 months on the lot to sell if we decided not to buy it when it showed up loaded with what we ordered. Our point to him was it would have been nice if our MA had told us the accessories would be installed after we paid. Luckily our MA was not there when we took delivery! Another MA gave us the shocking news and apologized for our MA. However she also said that no special order customer had ever ordered accessories. (Yeah, right!) They came back after they owned their MINI to order accessories. She had to have said that because we were quite upset.
Anyhow, it is fun driving Dawg all over the place. He will just have to wait a week until he gets his final touches and is complete.

I had no idea either until I stumbled upon it several weeks ago while trying to find out information about a VDC in the San Francisco Bay Area (Benicia.)

By the way, why are you still at home replying to this thread?
You should be out driving! Take Dawg up to Mount Palomar and enjoy some twisties!
