R60 iPhone 4 Snap in adapter
I have family they're…the language and translations are tough..but numbers are pretty much all the same. My only concern would be if it's Mini USA bulletin vs Mini world wide.
Anyway's hope it works and happy I could help.

Fred,
Glad to hear everything worked out.
I have not upgraded my phone yet, but plan to in a few days. Two questions:
1. Did you ever figure out the release/pop up problem from your cradle? Was it the Armor Ghost? Would you recommend the Armor Ghost, perhaps for the bottom only so as not to interfere with the cradle?
2. I have to reconnect the Y Cable periodically (maybe every few days) to use the plugin. Otherwise MiniConnected says there is no device. Do you have periodic connection problems with your Y Cable?

Honestly, I'm not sure if they swapped out the cradle for another when they installed the new armrest. I mentioned that issue to them, thinking I would probably have to remove the protective skin. But I still have the Ghost Armor on and it ejects much better than previously.
Since the new armrest with base and correct cradle, I haven't needed or wanted to use the Y cable. "Plug-in" still does not recognize the phone in the cradle….but all the features….facebook, google, google search, etc, etc are all there and working. I go to External drives…shows my 4S connected via cradle/usb and I'm good to go. Call comes in…mutes the music, I take the call via the control on the steering wheel or the joy stick, end the call…music comes back. Everything seems fine…and even though I'm not one to text/email while driving…the temptation was there. Now it's away and hidden to the point were at times I forget it in the car instead of bringing it in the office.
Speaking of "Office", the day that is up and running as it should…then I'd give mini connected a
for sure.
Have you gotten your cradle yet ?

I'm able to watch video's through the cradle, but not thru the connected mode. Once the I phone in snapped in and I go to external drives it will already be recognized. I enter that mode by pushing the joy stick and your in and search music videos. I use connected with the cradle for goggle send to car, goggle search, Facebook etc…. With the Y cable you access through the connected mode. Obviously with either, to view the videos you need to be stopped with E brake up.
Glad to hear you made the trip safely and all seems to be great with your mini and having a blast……it's along wait, but soooooo well worth it.

I have a 2012 CM and my Iphone4 was working wonderfully in the cradle and all Mini Connected apps and music worked perfectly. In the past few days, the music and Mini Connected Ap have completely quit, though the iphone is still being charged in the cradle and all bluetooth functions are working perfectly. I pulled the phone out of the cradle and hooked it up with the cable, and have the same issues - no Mini connected and no music. The music selector says the iphone is loading - and that's all. Mini Connected does not recognize the iphone in the cradle any more at all.
Any suggestions??

Well, as I mentioned in the above post, my 4s in the cradle has never worked with mini connected - plug-in as far as music, video's. It does not recognize the phone at all, but it never has. As long as the mini connected app on the phone is open then I can use google, google send to car, Facebook etc. With my 4s in the cradle, I go over to cd/multimedia push the joystick and it shows the phone in the cradle....connected. From there I can search albums, artists, tracks, top 25 played, purchased pretty much a duplicate of how the phone is set up. Not working via the provided Y cable doesn't make sense.
I have not used my cable lately since the cradle is just so much more convenient, but I'll give it a try in the morning... Just to make sure it's still workable and let you know.
Other than that, maybe off/on with the phone, checking to make sure the mini connected app is working on the phone... Not sure whatever else... especially since it was all working for you. I'll let you know on my cable.

I have a 2012 Countryman i use the iphone 4 with the Y cable. I dont own a cradle as i was told one is not available for the US by my dealer.
Only way i can play video is through the cd/multimedia interface, by selecting the phone as input and as long as i have videos in itunes i can play them while E-brake is up. I think its dumb videos from any others apps (plugins) cant play through mini conencted, all it does is play the sound and shows you the name of the app...duh
Everything else works great including all the mini connected apps, all through the Y cable... Which is annoying...

That's when they lie to you like you were an unmarried woman?
The way I figure it, I've got 2 years left on the lease. I may be able to pick up the right cradle right before I turn it in.

Snap-in with Plug-in
I don't think the snap-in will support the connected plug-in feature....
My wifes' car (BMW) has connected w/ plug-in through the snap-in, but not with the USB/AUX connector.... The BMW has 3 additional wires that carry a video signal (FBAS+, FBAS-, FBAS Shield) from the snap-in to the back of the CIC unit, Mini does not have them..
It looks like Mini decided to connect with the USB/AV and BMW decided on the snap-in.
When I get my CM back from the dealer, I'm going to run the video signal wires from the USB/AV to the snap-in and hopefully will get plug-in support..
I'll report back with the results....
