Boo no rear bench. Also no mention of jcw accessories, but I'm sure it'll be coming in the near future. I'm really digging that white/red combo.

Good info

A new wrinkle in this Order Guide...

Folks,

This version of the Order Guide states that option ZCW Convenience Package is NOT available when ordering 6NM MINI Connected or 7L5 MINI Connected with Navigation.

So, if you are configuring a car with either MINI Connected option, you will not be able to select the Convenience package and will have to order the items you want a la carte.

It's not as bad as it may seem...

Of the 5 items in the Convenience Package, you can get:

431 Auto-Dimming Rearview Mirror if you order 430 Auto-Dimming exterior mirrors which also includes: 313 Power folding mirrors, 314 Heated
mirrors and washer jets and 431 Auto-dimming Rearview mirror.

521 Rain Sensor/Auto Headlights if you order 7L7 Adaptive Xenon Headlights which also includes: 521 Rain Sensor/Auto headlights, 522 Xenon headlights, 524 Adaptive Light Control and 785 White Turn signal lights.

6ND Bluetooth and USB/iPod adapter if you order either MINI Connected or MINI Connected with Navigation both of which include 6NE Comfort Bluetooth and USB/iPod adapter plus a host of other goodies.

That leaves just 319 Universal garage-door opener and 322 Comfort Access keyless entry, so don't forget to specifically order them individually.

Possible error in the Order Guide or I'm now confused

The Guide states that option 7L7 Adaptive Xenon Headlights "will add 521 Rain sensor and auto headlights, 522 Xenon headlights, 524 Adaptive light control and 785 White turn-signal lights". 7L7 is priced at $100 yet each of those items individually cost more individually:

521 Rain sensor and auto headlights ($250)
522 Xenon headlights ($500)
524 Adaptive light control ($100)
785 White turn-signal lights ($100 or No Charge with 7L7)

So does this mean selecting 7L7 adds $100 and includes another $950 worth of options (unlikely) or does it mean selecting 7L7 adds $100 PLUS $850 of other required options (more likely).

While the answer may seem obvious, other footnotes are worded the same (see note for 7L5 MINI Connected with Navigation) and reference included option codes (like 6UH and 606) that can not even be ordered separately nor do they have a individual price. Same for 6NM.

Confused...

Perhaps someone can explain?

Very cool, I'll be putting my deposit down in the spring for either this or the jcw

Midnight Blue,

It means "selecting 7L7 adds $100 PLUS $850 of other required options." (I got a new printout of my order with the charges by line item, and I can tell you that the only one with no charge is 785 White turn signal.)

I am also a little confused about the Convenience package not being allowed with the MINI Connected. I was trying to figure out how much MINI Connected is really costing...the other confusing thing is that mine has 606 MINI Navigation included at N/C. I thought MINI Connected and Navigation were two completely different things. (I want MINI Connected but don't necessarily need Navigation).

Thanks

I resubmitted my order after reconfiguring spec to account for Convenience Package restriction. My order is now in, has been accepted and has been assigned a production number.

Yes, you are correct that those items are indeed additive. My confusion stemmed from the wording in the order guide. Some options are included or nested within other options and can either be included at no additional charge (all the sub-items of MINI Connected for example) or incur the additional cost for each sub item (as in the vase of 7L7).

I still have a few open questions on my order though only one impacts price.

The Order Guide states that option 473 Center Armrest is included at No Charge when ordered in combination with option 6MN MINI Connected. 6MN is a nested item of 7L5 MINI Connected with Navigation which is on my order. So I think that 473 should be included in my order at no charge but my VIR states that it is $250.

Don't know why your VIR shows MINI Navigation as that should only be included with 7L5. On that note, the order guide states that 6FP MINI Visual Boost is a nested item of 6NM which itself is nested within 7L5. My VIR does not list 6FP though it does list all the other nested items, so maybe the VIR logic isn't completely bug free.

Did you order standard 2GP wheels? Did they show up on your VIR?

By the way, I registered in Owners Lounge and indeed my Production Number is there though shows wrong color and options. According to the primer on this website in the 1st Gear forum, this is expected behavior.

The wait for a production date begins!

Rear bench is coming next summer, already announced by Mini. Gov't changed the requirement for back seat width at the last minute so they will offer in U.S.
