Mini Countryman and 1 crazy idea

anyone else had the thought of getting a countryman (s with the 4 wheel drive), immediately lowering to a performance car height (coilovers) ad taking off all the off road under body stuff? Im not sure on the power split, but it sure would be nice to have an awd mini for autox :P do a drift lap with a fun run

Sounds like a great idea. I would definitely strip some of the interior as well since it weighs 3100 lbs.

I'm sure someone will do it, and maybe a lot more. It will be a good platform for some major modifications.

How about using it as a rally car? It'd be nice to have a car that was already lifted. I can't wait to see a countryman with some knobby tires and rally lights covering the front!

Drift lap in autocross and they will throw you off the track. But yes that would be sweet to lower it and make it have some high performance.

well it at least has mud flaps in front of the front wheels...

oh, and my university (Clemson University) holds auto-X competitions once a month, and when the day is over, we sometimes allow "fun runs" for an hour, and since its run by the Clemson sports car club (CSCC), which is a student organization, we do allow some driftage. If it gets out of hand you'll get red flagged though.

from last saturday

fun drift lap :P

(sorry if it doesn't show up, its linked from FB)
