Good deal on a cooper s and Intro
Hi everybody,
I'm new to the forum and I'm hoping that I will be getting a cooper s sometime in the near future and will be able to contribute to the forum.
I have been looking around in autotrader.com and it seems like the cheapest MCS that doesn't have 30,000+ miles are all $26,000 or more. I am looking for one with no more than 10,000 miles and preferably new if I could. I am a costco member and they have a deal where you can purchase any car from one of their sponsored lots for the dealer invoice price plus an additional $500.00. This makes the MCS about $19,800 in it's stock form (which I am more than content with) but unfortunately there aren't any participating dealers anywhere near me. So I checked Miniusa.com and built one to the specs that I wanted, basically stock with my choice of colors, and they are quoting the car at around 22,300. If I were to have one ordered like this would the 22,300 + tax and licensing be what I would pay or would the dealership jack the price up to receive some of the money. I really want to get an MCS but it seems like there is no way to get around a $30,000 price tag.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to NAM! I hope you are in a MINI soon.
There are several dealers who will not charge more than MSRP (the amount your MINIUSA configured car would cost). You may have to call around. I bought mine for MSRP from Dreyer & Reinbold in IN and brought her back to CA.
