The Superbowl just ended and I decided to check on the status of my Mini. What a surprise in the Owners Lounge awaited! My baby finally moved to production, week 7 (Feb 5-11). Now I will be pounding the 866-ask-mini line to find out what stage of production it is in.

Basically, I went nuts with the options!

The waiting is really tough. Today was a gorgeous, 70 degree in the bay area, California. Would have been great for a topless day....

Congrats! Sorry for my confusion, but I thought (according to the "Build your Own" section on MINIUSA.com) that Nav wasn't available for order until March? Either way, looks like you've got a sweet car on the way. Enjoy it in good health!

 

it is available on convertible's since they didn't materially change.

 

Holy Cow! Strike the word "Cool" and insert "Lightning" and we have the exact same car, down to the black bonnet stripes, powerfold mirrors and heated seats (instead of cold weather package), nav system, blue leather seats, and interior body color. Did you get a blue roof or a black one (I got black)?

 

I got a black top too.

I didn't get the cold weather package as it wouldn't allow you to order the powerfold mirros (which come with heated mirrors and heated washer jets, so you essentially get the whole package anyway).

I thought that the chance of two mini's being the same were 1:100,000. Depending on your accessories (i'm addiing the iPod connector, exhaust tail tip, likely will get a wind deflector (but from Mini of Manhattan who sells it way cheaper on ebay), glove box organizer, and one or two others), we will have beat the odds!

I live in the Bay Area of California. I see that you are in LA. It would be really bizzare if we crossed paths!

 

Ditto on the cold weather package. I have the folding mirrors on our 3 series and really like them. Did you upgrade to the webs or just go with the bullet wheels (I got bullets)?

 

I got the bullet wheels (17" with sport package, and not the s-lites, so I assume bullet?); they were slightly different than what comes on a sport package on an 07 non-S.

 

Just curious, this is week 7? I thought I was told my week 8 would start mid to late Feb.

 

Good catch Golsco, I'm a week 6! MA said that they counted from the first of the year and mine just went into production. I guess that would be 6.

 

I was hoping you were right! Someone just emailed me that it is week 7, really confused.
