Finally a MINI Owner!
After coveting for over 30 years, I have a new (used) 06 RG/RG MCSa (I think I did this right - 06 MCS with automatic - Royal Gray w/ Royal Gray top.) I will be using the info in these forums for modifications and upgrades to enhance my driving expericenc and comfort (spend about 3 hours/day in car.)
I have to carry alot of stuff for work, including a 10'x10" E Z Up, so the Mini is not the perfect work car - but it is the Perfect Car, so I will adapt it for work.
I am looking forward to having a Mini for life.

Congrats!! There's always a way to get it to work for you, there will always be other cars that would be better choices -- but so what. Let others get the other cars -- if you love your MINI no amount of convenience in another car will make you as happy.

MINI's are awesome! I know you'll love your new ride. A MINI is a surprisingly practical vehicle. I feel sure you'll be surprised t how practical it can be! Good luck with your new MINI, welcome to the family!

Congratulations on your new mini. Good choice on the Royal Grey, it was my choice too. As far as practicality, it seems my wife and I always use the Mini for all our running around and one trip so far. It's totally practical.
