Please allow me to introduce myself...
Hello everyone, now that I've tucked my MINI away for the winter (not afraid to drive it in the snow - I am just hesitant to subject the poor thing to the ludicrous amounts of salt they throw on the roads around here), and have completed the mods that I wanted to do this year (luckily a new year starts in about 30 minutes
), I decided to finally register here and "become one" with the MINI online community.
I received my '06 BRG MCS last June, and have since logged 8900 miles in it's first 4.5 months of life (before I stored it) - loving every minute of it (except when people call it a "cute" car - don't know why, but that really upsets me.
I'm hoping to get down to MOTD this May (eagerly awaiting registration). Eagerly awaiting April to once again unleash the beast upon the unsuspecting streets of S.E. Wisconsin. Until then, all I can do is save for mod money and dream of twisty roads.

Welcome!
I'm in Syracuse NY. Where are you, specifically?
I'm one of the fools who has to drive his MINI all year long, through the snow and SALT! I hate to do it, but the MINI is my daily driver.
I put on cheap black steel rims and Blizzak tires for the winter months, which really makes me appreciate my summer wheels and tires when spring arrives!!!
See you around, perhaps.

Oh, by the way, I also hate when people call my car CUTE!
Luckily, I barely ever hear that. Try not to let it get to you. Those who drive a MINI know, there's so much more to our cars!

Thanks for the welcome, everyone...
jonnieoh - I'm located just outside of Milwaukee, WI (whose tagline used to be - "A Great Place on a Great Lake" in a town named Wauwatosa.
I would drive the MINI all year round if need be, but right now I have the luxury of having other auto(s) for the winter, and a heated space to keep the MINI out of the elements.
All things considered though, I could have keep the car out on the roads an extra couple of months because it's only snowed once so far this season. The subsequent rain cleared any traces of salt off of the roads. It really sucks to be into skiing or snowmobiling around here.
Scouser - Thanks for the kind words about the photos. When I first got the MINI, my wife and I would go out for a drive every Sunday morning (at least) and take a photo of the car in front of local landmarks. This usually occured very early in the morning before many folks got out on the road - makes posing the car (wherever) much easier. Found ourselves up at Lambeau sometime in July - ironically, this is the first year in many that I wasn't able to get up there for a game
