New to NAM

HI, I just purchased a 2006 Space Blue, Cooper S...and so far loving it. It came with the Premium, Sport, and cold weather packages. As well as the Harmon Kardon sound system. I love to modify vehicles, so I guess this will be the start of a lot of tinkering in the garage. Few questions to those that might know: Wood grain dash kits...are they made? Best way to link in an Ipod? How much tinkering can be done to the intake, exhaust, ect before voiding the warranty?

Looking forward to getting out more in the new Mini. Thanks

Welcome and congrats on the new MINI. Check out the NAM vendors for a woodgrain kit...one exists I think, but R50/53 dash profiles aren't ideally suited for wood. See what you can find...in the end it's your call!

Congrats on the Mini and Welcome to NAM. Don't forget to post some pictures when you can.

Just did a quick search on wood trim and found Joshua Tree Wood Trim and Exotic Wood Dash. Of course if a NAM sponsor has one, I'd give them my business first.

I got the factory ipod link and love it, Not familiar with the aftermarket ones.

From what I've heard the mod thing can vary from dealer to dealer. Hypothetically any mod could void your warrenty. Maybe if you post where you plan on taking your car for service, others can chime in from that area.

Thanks for the information. I just saw that MINI sells a wood dash kit also.
