I am NEW to NAM, wanted to say HELLO!
My name is Vic and I reside in Auburndale, Fl which is centrally located off I-4 between Tampa & Orlando.I ordered my NEW 2007 Mini from Tom Bush Mini in Jacksonville,Fl. My salesman was Nick Froelich, a really super knowledgeable Mini sales Agent!
I placed my order November 6th at the dealership after taking a test drive(It was FUN!). I ordered a 2007 Mini Cooper S Convertible (Chili Red). I had a hard time between Chili Red
and Pepper White
. I just couldn't make up my mind and finally settled on the Chili Red, I hope I don't regret not getting the pepper white. Oh well, it's too late to change now, because on the last report my Mini will arrive at the port in S. Carolina on Dec 26th and I will pick it up at the dealership the first week in January! I'm getting just a little antsy! My mini will have all the packages on it and it is an automatic with the paddles on the steering wheel. I LOVE IT! I drove both the Auto & the 6 speed and I just totally loved the way that shifter worked and my wife loved the automatic. It was a good deal for both of us!
I added the air flow system which will be painted at the factory distribution center. I also added the JCW Air filter to help increase HP by about 5-10 HP. I added a lot of other stuff too.
Anyway, just wanted to say Hello and I'm glad to be a new mini owner. If anyone has any news that I need to know about my new ride, would be glad to read the post.

Welcome to NAM, Vic! There are a lot of great MINI folks in your area. If you haven't already, be sure to check out the www.sunshineminis.org site. Love your specs! Chili Red is beautiful....you won't be disappointed.

Hello from the Metro Atlanta area. We have a great club here Atlanta Minis an have enjoyed several events including the Atlanta Christmas parade. We had 14 Minis in the parade all decorated as Snow Flakes.
I have had my Mini for 5 Months now and I have enjoyed every minute of it.

I'm just up the road from you on 27 almost to 192. Wave if you see my R/W Cooper S. Her name is MiamiMini (Miami as in the 1st University, up North).

Yep, I can understand your difficulties choosing between Chili Red & Pepper White !!
But you made the right choice, believe me.
Pepper White is a great, classic color, but I love the deep shine you get with the Chili Red and it really turns a lot of heads.

But don't let that phase you - we auto owners stick together, in spite of the intolerance shown by SOME others in these hallowed halls. Great you're picking up a new S 'vert in January. You should be one of the first in the US I would imagine.

Your thoughts & quotes have been inspiring. I feel good about the Chili Red & the Auto shift now. I will post a picture and do more as soon as I learn how to maneuver through Nam.
