Thank you very much sir...
This forum is set up a bit differently than he other forums I sponsor.
I'm sure I've seen some of you out at VIR or Summit Point which I get to pretty often. I'm excited to be here to add something to the mix.

I do sell a Brembo kit here and there - but I can assure you the margins are no where near 50%.....
But as a 'grand opening' I am going to make some really good package deals on rotor/pad combos that make $en$e.

Hello and welcome to NAM!
Can you tell us about your experience with MINI's?
Do you specialize in any particular brands of brake products?
I'm looking forward to seeing what you have to offer!
Thanks!

I don't own one (hides head) - I have a 2006 WRX wagon with some pretty nice power/suspension mods that I take to track days as much as possible. And I spent a good amount of time working with Dan at Pilo trying to see what makes a good setup - both for street and track day use and what we might adapt to get some more heat mass in there. We didn't get anywhere as it is NOT EASY - but I won't stop trying. He is a pretty good driver and can eat up brakes at a good rate just like I can. There are some other vendors here that have come up with some pretty nice looking BBK's but I have not looked at the specs closely.
IMO - your car is quite similar to mine. It's pretty powerful and handles very well with a lot of weight on the front end. With medium sized factory brakes this presents some issues when tracking the car. Sticky rubber and higher power levels makes heat management in the front quite a task. I expect that any experienced driver can make quick work of a set of street brake pads and rotors and fluid.
I sell Hawk brake pads - currently I am stocking the HPS and Perf. Ceramics for street use and the HP+ are on the way. HP+ are great for autox or if you want to get near race friction with a semi-streetable noise/dust/wear pad that won't instantly eat your rotors. Not quite enough for an experienced track guy but great for the semi-noob who is learning without shelling out race pad dollars.
I'll also be getting in some Ferrodo's in the near future - they are pretty expensive but very good pads. The DS2500 is quite similar to the HP+ but maybe a bit less harsh.
I also just got in my first order of DBA brake rotors - they make a very good rotor especially the 4000 series which the rally guys love for there durability.
Some of the things I need to accomplish by posting here is to spur discussion so that I can fine tune how I recomend what brake parts you should consider. I've spent 5 years posting on NASIOC, tracking my car and working with other track guys including some pretty competitive types so that when I sell a customer brakes they are the right one - or if you insist on buying the wrong one I will tell you so.
I pretty much DESPISE drilled rotors - the best use I have seen of them so far is when someone made one into a clock.
Group buys are for kids - if you need brakes you most likely need them now - not later.
And if you actually read all that - well get a life.....
I do like to talk smack about cars just like you.

I was looking at that kit just a bit ago.
Any idea what pad shape that is i.e. D#?
And how about a BBK with a 4 piston fixed caliper instead of that slider?? That'll take some time but it can be done.

I carry some Hawk pads for the Wilwood calipers - but I'd refer you to TCE for an actual Wilwood kit - I do not know if he has devised his own TCE Wilwood kit yet. IIRC the Wilwood kit uses the DynaPro - and a thinnish rotor (0.82"). I am still trying to devise or at least see if there are better alternatives to be made.
