Hi Everyone.

On Saturday, we took delivery of our mini S and we absolutely love it . It's going to be the wife's daily driver but I will be stealing it on the weekends.

We were seriously considering waiting until the 07's came out but we decided we couldn't wait the extra few months for one as she needed a car right away and was sick of renting Pontiacs and Hyundai's every week.

Since we were buying late in the year, we didn't custom order but claimed one that was already on the way from the factory. If I was ordering one for me I would have gone without the sunroof and with an LSD and turned it into a weekend autocross/track car. But in the end, it is the wife's car and I have another car to take to the track so we are quite happy with the options we have.

I attend driving events with the local BMW clubs (Windy City, Badger Bimmers) so give a shout if you are a track addict living in the Chicago Burbs, SouthEastern Wisconsin area.

Welcome to NAM, as everyone has already said. And let me say, I am TOTALLY jealous of you and your wife . Last October (2005) was when I ordered my MCS. The delivery didn't happen until early march of this year. that was the LONGEST wait I have ever endured. You 2 are so fortunate that you didn't have to go thru the LONG wait. It can be torture.

Congrats on your new addition to your family. Cuz, we all know you just purchased a whole lot more than a car. The MINI does awesome math in that regard, it is WAY more than the sum of its parts.

I wish i had enough money to get a Mini. Although seeing as iam 16 and looking, i doubt i'll find one that i can afford for a year or two.
