Missing my MINI

About a month and a half ago, I had to get rid of my '05 JB/JB Cooper. The wife and I are starting a family and figured we needed one bigger car, 2 MINIs weren't going to have enough room.
So, we went and got an '07 Element. Still have her BEP/S Cooper S (Gromit) though and I get to drive it once her belly starts to be getting big .
Still though...I miss Wallace, he was a good, loyal and fun car.
The Element is fun to drive, although not on par with a MINI of course. I did make sure to get the AWD version...and it is a funky, MINI-worthy colour, that being Kiwi Green Metallic. We think it goes along well with Gromit's Black Eye Purple (or clashes rather...someone once told me, the greater the clash, the cooler you are).
Anyone else out there feeling my pain? I am going to be buying a vintage Mini in the next couple of years after I move to Maryland next fall though, and it can teach Gromit some tricks

I'm not a big fan of the Element, but I LOVE the Kiwi metallic. I wish it were a MINI color!

You still have a MINI, that's all that matters!

yeah, nothing quite like a MINI, that's
why we love em'

I miss my MINI just for one day of service. I definitely
can sympathize!

Gromit801 and his wife also have an MCS and an Element. Seems to me like a great pair of vehicles to own! Love that wacky Element color, too!

Just out of curiousity, why was your Mini sold, and not hers? What made the decision?

Sorry to hear about your lack of Mini. At least you did not get rid of them both. I hope that you can find a vintage Mini for you to help mold.

I have been MINI-less since April. I really understand how you feel. At least you have another in the household to drive. Good luck on the future classic purchase. I really love those!

I am definitely feeling your pain. My car has been away since 10/25, 5 or 6 days at the wrecker's yard, then at the body shop. I went for a visit today at lunch. Every time I see a MINI, it's like about 8% of what I really need.

You need to help your wife learn to love your Element - it will be much easier for hauling around the baby and all the asociated gear .

I just got mine a few weeks ago and I already don't know how I made it so long without her... it kills me when the wife is driving her...

Lets hope she gives Gromit over to you soon...

I am with you on that. Just finished two weeks in a Chevy Malibu. Sooooo bad that my in-laws' Dodge Caravan actually feels good.

When my wife was the only MINI owner in the family, I used the old reliable "Well Darlin, actually it really neeeds to be driven . . . alot . . . thats what keeps things working correctly how about if I drive it . . . you need anything at the store?"

Yeah, didn't believe me. (Usually suggested that I was full of - something)
