Hi! Newbie question about the front wipers

Hi everyone!

I just picked up my Pepper White w/ black roof Mini Cooper on 10/14, and I've been getting happier with my purchase every day since then! I always just thought of cars a transport and nothing more, by I think my mini is starting to change that Anyone else feel the same way? I think going back to a manual transmission from an automatic transmission might have a little to do with it, too...

Anyway, I was cleaning the windshield today, and I noticed that the driver's side windshield wiper has a black plastic thingy attached to it. It's only purpose seems to be to make it a bit more aerodynamic. My passenger's side wiper does not have this, though, and I can't remember if it did when I got it. Is there supposed to be a black plastic thingy attached to that side's wiper as well? If so, and it broke off, do you think it is replaceable under warranty?

No, only the drivers side has the plastic thingy. I thought the same thing after getting my first MINI.

Thanks m@'s! I feel better knowing that I didn't break it somewhere out on the road, but it's weird that I didn't pick up on the fact that the windshield wipers are lopsided before.

Welcome to NAM. It's a great site. My 95 Volvo had the same "plastic thingy" on the driver's side only. Don't know why. It just is.

As you're cruisin' down the road at "great" speed, the only person who "needs" to see the road is the captain of the car.

The passenger does not need a "thingy"

the most important thing I always tell my passenger is...

I AM Captain of the car if I am behind the wheel.

Being Captain has its advantages. And that includes being able to see even if they can't.

Welcome to NAM.
