Hello Im New.

Hello there,

Im new to minis in general, but have always been my favorite car. I do not unfortunately have one to myself, but after the next few years, it is a most definate possibility. In the meantime, I hope to enjoy learning all I can about minis, and Ill be in the detailing section to give any assistance on anything possible

Thank You!

-Ryan M

Welcome! Pick up an r53 while you can - it's better! haha, let's see if we can start an argument in your first thread. jk. Calm down all r56 buyers.

Are you a professional detailer? What do you drive now? Why do you love the MINI as we all do?

Im in Odessa, 1/2 mile from tampa border.

zsbout what I like about the minis. Well I think the obsession first started when I saw the originall Italian Job. My Uncle happened to buy an S works, and every time I go up to Cinci to see him, we spend ALOT of time in the car. The feel you have with your car and the road is just amazing. After first riding in it, it sealed the deal for me

I have done detailing as a hobby for a long time, and usually only did full jobs for friends. Some of my work. This is the makeover I did to my camry when I got it.

To make that chili red really pop, I highly recommend Pinnacle Signature Series Wax. It is the newer formyla of their paste glaze which was formulated for more vibrant hues. It really brings a nice, deep vibrant look to bright colors.

For polishing, my new favorites are the Pinnacle XMT Series and Poorboys series. My favorite finishing polish would have to be Blackfire Ceramic of 50:50 Poorboys SSR1 / XMT 1.

The list goes on and on. What are you looking for ?

Welcome, what is the best way to get rid of swirls? I have an 05 town and country that is starting to look bad. I am sure I did all the wrong things when washing it.

make sure to wash and dry properly.

Wash with your favorite shampoo and use a good washmit. I use a microfiber wash mit.

To dry, look at a Cobra Microfiber drying towel, a Microfiber Bed Bath and Beyond Bath Towel. California Water Blade, or even a leaf blower.

As far as removing swirls, hire a good detailer, or if your a DIY, I suggest investing in a Porter Cable Kit.

Welcome! Don't have a MINI, no problem. At least you know that it is a great car and you aspire to own one. I hope that hanging here won't be too much torture for you.

Ha! I'm in Lutz! I love my MINI & can't imagine life before it. I think I drove a corolla in a previous life. Good luck in your search!

Hey welcome to NAM!

I'm also a detailing hobbiest. I feel like all the car's I've worked on to this point have been to prepare me to maintain my Mini!

You'll be glad to hear Mini's come with good paint, so they're nice to work with!!!

Nice job on your detailing work. Thanks for the information already posted. My question is what do I use on my car with all of the checkers and stripes? The wax products say to keep of vinyl, and I understand some products can breakdown their structure. Any suggestions? With most cars it isn't an issue. I guess welcome to MINI world! I hope you enjoy the site. I'm a new MCS owner (since late June) and have become obsessed!
