I am trying to decide if I want to put a front tag on my MINI. I have a chili red one- I would gladly take any suggestions or thoughts anyone could give. So hard to decide!

Mine reads "62 W WLBY" for you Wallace & Gromitt fans.
mattmann-enterprises.com lets you customize a wide range of EURO choices.

The state of Alabama didn't even give me a second license plate. . .

The best thing about the MINI's good looks is the front end, and I'd hate to mess it up with a plate, especially if it was an optional plate that was not imposed upon me by the tax man.

It arrived within a week, has a holder to fit just about any car, and it is easy to switch out to other plates if I decide I want variety down the road. The part I like most is that it is made off of actual spare plates not plastic like some of the other vendors I've seen out there. Just about a year now and holding up wonderfully. They have just about and country/state/providce available and even several other custom options as well.

In CA, the front plate better be a CA license plate!

I say no to the front plate. I have the aero kit and the front bracket doesn't even line up with the plate's holes. Personnaly, I don't like the placement of the plates in general. I feel like it restricts the air flow into the engine.

Don't drill holes use ZIP ties.

The front euro plate on my '04 Cooper says "ACTUAL SIZE". With "2004" in a hexagon shape and the winged MINI logo between the actual & size.
Fits a charm on '04 and previous model years - was made for it. (recessed area in the bumper if you remove the North American plate adaptor)

On older MINIs there is a place built into the bumper for a euro style plate. I don't think they are incorporating this indentation into the front bumper anymore. But if it's there, sticking a plate on helps clean up the look (I agree that a front plate can detract from the lines of the grille for those with the aero kit).

I put my motoring ID on the plate (see signature below), using one of the online vendors (just do a Google search).
