R53 Production Week 36 (9/4/06)
Not in Oxford England. Maybe your MINI is spoiled and wants to spend a bit more time in the spa.
You know nothing is going to happen til September 11th and your baby will be making the cruiz with the rest of us. Sit back make up a margarita and enjoy what little remains of the holiday.

Hello 36ers.
I have been reading your thread and trying to learn from your brilliance....as I am a 37er...or so I thought maybe. You all seem like a HOOT and I hope you don't mind me asking a little question. We were told we'd be starting production next Monday (Sept 11) but according to OL and robot ASK MINI, we started TODAY!!!!!!! Does that move me up to 36? Or am I just a poor lost soul...
Thanks for your help my dears.

Hey Powerband! I love the Alligator.com radio stream.
There sure are a lot of artists listed. Charlie Musselwhite! He played her in Petaluma at the Mystic Theater. Check out their site some time. http://www.mystictheatre.com/ It is amazing the caliber of talent that loves to play that venue. And I love Katie Webster! Did you ever listen to a jug band with Jim Kweskin and his then wife Maria Kweskin, who went on later on her own as Maria Muldaur? I still have the old vinyl (refuse to give up any vinyl!!!)
My car originally was supposed to be finished on the 8th, but now the "voice" says the 9th. Will it still make the boat on the 11th?
PS: I vote for southern California for the party. We'll probably not be able to schedule one until November (when we've all taken delivery and maybe even made a few mods) and it will be warmer further south -- maybe even Palm Springs or something. If we do it up my way I won't get much of a road trip in and the weather will be pretty dicey. Of course we can make our own heat with our rambling MINIs stopping to party along the way to who knows where...
(you'll find excellent photo subjects wherever we go!)
If I help you set up some of the shots and use a couple in a brochure or article, I can write the trip off too!

Kismys, it would have been cool to see the Led Zeppelin cover band, Zepparella, at the Mystic Theatre. Seems like a cool venue downtown for an ecclectic mix of artists! I haven't heard anything from the Kweskins (that I know of), but I definitely have a few vinyls of my own that I wouldn't want anyone's finger prints on.
SoCal for a BBQ is fine by me! We'll just point the bonnet south and slide on down for good eating, chatting, and motoring.

Ok, MLWagner... make my dot move!! My car is STILL in the body shop per the robot! Waaahhhh:impatient :impatient
Happy dance for you!!!! I don't have happy dancing smileys. I tried, couldn't get them. I think it has to do with being a MAC user.

handn, foo's car along with mine has said in the bodyshop since friday. I was hoping that the computers didn't update due to the holiday in the states. MLWagner79 just gave me hope. The live rep told me on friday that my car should be finished today. The recorder says estimated completion date is tomorrow. I hope my car isn't holding you up!! And I hope that something isn't wrong with it.
I would hate to fail quality control. Then again, I would hate for something to pass that shouldn't!:impatient

I was hoping it'd tell me I'm in the body shop by now. Climbergirl must be holding me up.
