Hi everyone.

My name is Terry and I have a problem. I love my 2005 Mini Cooper S!!!!

Just wanted to say hello... I am a contractor working and living in Germany and driving our Mini Cooper S on the AutoBahn!!!! oh yea baby!!!

I heard something on the radio today about an effort afoot to build a US AutoBahn. Anyone know anything about it? ...drool...

If they do, then don't complain about higher taxes. It'll cost billions to build an autobahn quality highway in the US.

A U.S. Autobahn doesn't need to be funded through taxes...

Or, it could be funded by tolls - like the Golden Gate Bridge....

Maybe. The autobahn and US highways are physically very different. The autobahn has more than double the thickness of the concrete than a US highway.

A toll road in the west? There's be a revolution.

Toll roads are not unheard of in the US. They are all over the east. There is at least one in the Houston, TX area. It is a matter of economics.

Out west, only some bridges, and I think 17 Mile Drive in Carmel have tolls.
