I keep trying to find out if my mini is at the VDC and I CAN'T log into the owner's lounge to check....arrrgggg... i know the ship is still at port, and the WW site doesn't say anything about my mini being unloaded...sigh...I think I'm just freaking out because it's just getting sooo close I can taste it! I've already to managed to aquire a collection of goodies for my mini
PIAA driving lights
chrome caps for the holes in the door
white lenses for the side exterior lights and white bulbs
drivers and passengers side silver stripe delcals
now I'm debating between the whalen shift machine, or silver boot stripes....

I just heard from my dealer--I get to pick up my car on Wednesday afternoon!!!

I got those door caps also. I was a little disappointed, thought they would be more shinny/chrome. But they may look great when on the door.

Also, I've been looking around and does anyone know where I could get another toggle switch. Just to fill out the panel. I would need only 1 switch but understand you have to buy the whole panel and then you can remove a switch. That would leave me with extra switches to offer to other people interested in filling out the toggle switch panel.

 

I agree..not as shiney as I would have liked..maybe a little polish will help..

 

Red's a little unsteady on his feet...errr....wheels after over 2 weeks at sea. (green face) but that's ok because Red is standing on terra firma americus! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've left orders that he go thru the "nothing to declare" line at Customs and get on the first transport headed north of the Mason-Dixon line! No bet. They're gonna drop your's off at 7am then the truck is gonna drive up to Milwaukee and drop mine off about 11am. I'm even going to go so far as to say its this Friday, Monday at the latest.

Hello, I've been lurking on this thread for a while since my JCW is (was?) on the Liberty coming through Charleston as well. Thanks to you all for doing the hard work on tracking the ship. Luckily, Charlotte's pretty close to the port so WMWRE335X6TN25718 should be at the dealer soon. I hope!!

 

AWESOME, I'm glad to hear you're finally getting your "Baby"!!! I've been rooting for ya!!! As for my Silver Bullet, It's moved to Weds night that I can 'possiblely' pick it up. :( They are having a problem with a sensor lock on the convertible top, it goes up and down fine it just sticks when it's down. They have to order a part and they are hoping that the Part will be the fix.... This is a problem they've never seen... So I have my fingers crossed for Weds. The worst part is that the Dealership isn't that close so I've been having my buddy reschedule after reschedule to drop me off and I have to keep telling him today is not the day.....

I was thinking of telling my MA that I don't want the car anymore.... See what kind of response I'll get!!! I'm getting a bit aggrivated though. They've rescheduled twice on me. :( First they said Friday, then moved it to Monday and Now Wed and there's still a chance it may not be done...

 

Sorry to hear that they keep pushing your pick up back...That's got to be frustrating! I would defintely ask for some freebies when you do pick it up!! Get some sweet mini swag for your hassle, then maybe you can get your ride a mini shirt for his hassle as well But remember as soon as you do get it post some pics so we can all be jealous! I guess it is good to get all this little stuff fixed right off the bat so you don't have to make that drive back to the dealership every week. Don't worry you'll be driving soon

MA just said Red left the VPC but didn't say when. He did say that eta was 8/13 which is Sunday. They're closed but guess who's going to be there? I'll be strolling around like any other Sunday lot shopper unless or until I see him (Red) at which point out comes the lean-to and I'm camping! If somebody walks up to Red, I'm like...:Whatch you lookin at Willis?" "Get back, Dude." I WILL hurt you man! Stay away from my MINI! Other than that, I love mankind. Sunday!!! Noooo...that is one more day than I need... well, since I'm pretty sure we are gonna have the same delivery dates looks like I might need to arrange a rental car for work on Monday..lame... Well my MA is supposed to call me tommorrow with the details so I'll keep you updated, still Sunday isn't that far away...

 

Oh, I forgot to mention, I still think they'll get here Friday. That'll give them time for prep and delivery Fri. or Sat.! It's just a hunch mind you!

 

I think Friday or Saturday is more reasonable...if they've already left from South Carolina, they have plenty of time to get here by friday (depending on how many stops they have to make)...I'm banking on saturday...
