gonna order my 06 cooperS soon! need insight

whats up guys. I like this forum. This along with b15sentra.net are the only 2 i realy like. Every other has way too many immiture kids...anyways
im about to order a
chili red 06 cooper s
w/ white roof/mirrors and rims
w/ bonnet white strips
antrachite interior trim
and best of all an LSD!
everything came out to 22,050 plus ttly..kinda high but its ok.i wasnt gonna pay 450 for any metalic color. I liked the white at first but after seeing pics i realy came to love the red.

I havent had time as of yet to realy look into whats good and whats not for aftermarket parts cause this car just hit me as a good idea to look into. if the mini didnt go into some changes for 05 and 06 i wouldnt have got it. the more power, better gearing, and lsd pluz u can customize it(and I heard the built quailty improved).. u cant say no to that...< I didnt even know u can customize it until LAST WEEK...my first choice was 07 civic SI... which SO damn hard to get.but i think the mini is better.

SO question is...what to get first. whats a MUST have(what brand is good)..from engine(ecu, chip, tunning pulley ,etc) to suspension.where can i find owners feedback. My main goal is to get a lil more power down but focus on the suspension. Im a handlling junky. my last car (03 nissan spec-v) I had realy done great job on the suspension.. I wana do even better on this mini.

also.. is anyone using wider than 205/50 on the stock 16's? how is that working out?

It really depends what you want to do with it. Just scream around the streets or go autocrossing.

Check the competition boards in this forum.

The spec you listed is almost bone stock, so you'd better get your custom factory order in pretty quick or you'll be out of luck with an '06 (I wouldn't wait more than another month). The cars you find on most dealers' lots are usually specced to the hilt with a price to match.

Obviously you know that you're jeopordizing your warranty if you start modding. A lot of this depends on how mod-friendly your local dealer is.
