Hi! ASK-MINI says my MINI is scheduled for completion on 6/26!!! Not sure what week that is... but very exciting!!!

 

That puts you in week 26. And man, that's a quick turnaround from order to build completion! What dealership did you order from?

 

was the car already on the assemblyline?

 

What is "ASK-MINI"? (sorry if that's a stupid question....we're pretty new)

1-866-ASK-MINI is the MINI customer service line where you can find out your MINI's current production status etc...

It's "In Production" but not in the assembly line yet - next week! The customer rep at ASK MINI said it would be done around the 26th plus or minus a couple days, and would definitely be ready to ship by the 30th.

 

ASK-MINI now says my Mini is in production, 6/26 estimated completion date as well, so I guess I too have been bumped up from Week 27 to Week 26. This thread seems the closest to a Week 26 Support thread... maybe the moderators could re-name it, or we should start a new thread.

I'm guessing that with the '07 model coming soon in Europe, dealers over there might be cancelling pre-spec'd builds for '06 models, so earlier production slots are getting freed up for us US buyers.

 

I agree; it should be the new Week 26 Support Thread! Are you as excited as I am about trying out the JCW for more than a test drive???

I had originally ordered without it, and was back at the dealer a couple days later to check on something, and my MA loaned us a JCW to drive around for a bit. As soon as we returned I told him to add it on to mine!!!

Looks like we may see our cars end of July?

 

Woohoo, I was just informed I've got a VIN and a July 1 build date.

Mid-August cannot come some enough!!

 

I actually never test drove a JCW. I just liked the kick in the butt the S gave me, and decided I needed me some more of that.

You probably will. Mine has to take the long way to the west coast, so I'm hoping early/mid-August.

 

my mini finally has a vin and is in production too but i have not called ask mini yet to verify what week but i feel like i am with you guys, and very excited. this is going a little faster than the dealer told me originally.

good timing too because my car is officially dead (needs new engine) and im in a gross cheap rental until delivery.

 

Wow, I just called ASK-MINI and my completion date is now listed as being the 26th as well!!

No prob. That's where I ordered from as well! Who is your MA? I was really impressed with everybody there, and am glad I made the drive.

On a sadder note, it looks as though I'm still a week 27er. Even though the automated ASK-MINI says my car was completed yesterday, the live person says July 3rd. I'll go slink back to my week 27 thread now...
