I can answer some of this

You can probably retrofit the MINI OEM Xenons. Check your dealer, its not going to be cheap. Aftermarket HIDs are illegal. See http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...nversions.html

You can also probably retrofit the OEM Nav but also very expensive. There are many different ways to add aftermarket GPS. Its best to just do a search on GPS here and you will find numerous threads with numerous different GPS systems, numerous ways to mount, etc.

Nav Sys

Hey there, welcome to the days of glory, as I call it. As far as the nav sys, I would recommend the Pioneer AVIC-N2/3. I had the N2, and it was amazing. Excellent naz sys, and the DVD is crystal clear, the standard 6.5" LCD Touch screen. If you go with Pioneer right now it's going for $1,239. Go to http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=16884 That will take you to the N3. It also has sat radio, and various other options that work. The nav sys, has about every store, restaurant, gas station, etc... you could imagine. Happy hunting.

Welcome!!!

It all depends on your budget and how fancy you want.
Retrofiting Xenon headlamps requires getting the ballast and I believe the light switch. (someone can correct me if i am off here). Its fairly expensive to do and your funds could be better appropriated else where. An alternative is to get a xenon bulb kit. As many have pointed out, it may be illegal and or hard to come by but I see it on the road all the time. I have retrofitted a 8000k kit in my acura integra (however my headlamps had ion lenses which directed the beam rather than reflective halogens which flood the front of the car with brilliant light, hence blinding onlookers.

there is the d2s and d2r... d2r should be the bulbs to use for halogen lamp applications.

As for NAV, i can recommend the Tomtom and garmin portable units. Simple, portable and effective. You can get a permanent installed unit which incorporates multimedia and video playback but they start in upwards of $1200. Personally I find the factory radio satisfactory with the HK upgrade and appreciate the factory look but we all have different tastes. I also have the factory nav installed so there's no real guess work for me other than to add a video tuner and play movies on the nav screen *smirk*
