Production Week 27 (July 3, 2006) Support Group
creseida, I'm about halfway through my 2nd tank but I got right on 30mpg on my first tank, and a lot of that was city. Most of this 2nd tank has been highway, so we'll see what I get when I fill up on Sunday.
Above 30 in an MCS?
Oh yeah, you're still in the break-in period!
Yeah, that won't last long.
As a side note, I ave. 32 in my MC.
Just got word my Whalen is about ready! Woo-hoo!!! Doug, you are tha man!

Dash is doing just fine. He has just over 340 miles on him. I just filled him up at 314. I'm averaging ~23 MPG, mix of city/highway driving--but that's with the AC on most of the time. We had temps over 100 degrees the last few days (well the whole nation experienced this heatwave, correct?)
Does anyone have a gas mileage tracker spreadsheet where we can enter date, mileage, gallons, price, etc.?

I'll be using it to see if my fuel costs go up when I make the jump from Mazda to Mini.
(Unfortunately, it is on my USB flash drive, which is at home in my study...)
Sorry, no spreadsheet here, but I can contribute that I've been averaging roughly 27mpg so far. I'm at 298 miles and have a tad less than 1/4 of the original tank left. That includes highway driving, some small jetting around my neighborhood, and a run with our local MINI club (all done with the A/C on); so a good balance of driving. I'm expecting that the mileage will decline after break-in though.

I can send it to anyone if they are interested.
Chimera -- I had the Invisisheild installed at the dealer before I even drove off the lot. Seeing as how Massachusetts roads are pretty shitty, I knew I didn't want to risk anything. $595 for the front bonnet and front bumper at the dealer. Not too bad.
I'm horrible guys... I am going on my THIRD fillup and average about 25-27MPG. But, I am making an effort to stay between 3-4k RPMs. Pi Rho is now at 1000+ miles! I took a drive up over the border into NH and then up to the Northeast part of Vermont. He's getting a proper "highway" driving break in for the most part! :D
Oh yeah, the windshield sunscreen and the sunroon sunscreems came in, I will let you all know how well/not well they worked and post a few pics too!
You Westies -- not too much longer!! It is well worth the wait... and you'll appreciate your MINI that much more than us!!

So I've been sitting here all day, pulling my hair out waiting for the call...go or no go for heading down to San Antonio and taking delivery of Evie tomorrow.
Well, I finally had enough and called to talk to my MA...and he's NOT THERE TODAY. Aggh!
Thankfully the girl manning the phones is on the case and finding out what's what for me...hopefully I'll know soon!

Has anyone received that famous "black box" kit in the mail yet?
I haven't touched the spreadsheet in a while. Let me know if your info needs to be updated! It's the home stretch for the Auto Banner folks!
