Put deposit on May 25... no updates since

Its Tuesday May 30th and I havent heard anything from my sales person except an email with a cann'ed "thanks for your recent visit to Mini...hope i have successfully answered all your questions." message (which i received on my first visit).

Should I call my sales manager for a tracking number or ETA or is it customary to wait for him/her to reach me?

kinda excited and concerned...

It took me about 5 months to get my production number, so dont't worry, I am sure you will not have THAT long of a wait.

OMG... That would be torture for me... This is a secret anniversary gift for the misses and myself so we're hoping it would be here sometime by mid July. fingers crossed.

I was told 2-4 months to get my production number... it took 2 months.

However, now that I got my number last week... i have no idea what to do next. Am I suppossed to call mini to find out my production week?

I put my deposit down on 5/16 and it was about a week and a half before my MA got back with me. I got my production number on 5/27 and was told my MINI would be built in July. I do not know what week yet.

You can log on to miniusa and go to the owners lounge and sign up and track it from there, or you can call 1-866-ask-mini and give your production # and they can tell you the status of your car.

Hop all of your cars come soon the wait is painful!!

... umm yea... I ordered my MINI on May 6th from the dealer and they gave me my production number on the spot. I had a print out of my order with the production number on it in my hand as I left the dealer.

Each dealer has an allocated number of build slots per month. I'm surprised they didn't tell you the week it's scheduled for production. With both our orders we were told on the spot what the build date was going to be. I'd ask them if I were you. Build slots for the last of the '06s are becoming scarce in certain parts of the country.

acitydweller don't let those West Coasters scare you! Generally, the wait times here in the East are very short to the point of negligible by comparison. I'd give them a call by the end of the week to see where things stand. Ask them what status the car is in - 111, 112, 150? 111 means you've got a little wait. 112 means it could start any day. 150 and you can check the owners lounge as mentioned above.

Happy waiting and best of luck on the timing for your anniversary!

I placed my order for my MCS on April 29 (Sat). They were having computer problems, so I didn't get my production ID until Monday (via email). My car has been built and is in transit. My dealer estimated a six-week delivery (Philadelphia area), and it appear to be on target for mid-June.

Holy crud! It is already awaiting transport!?!

I was not expecting to get it until september/october when I ordered it. This is kinda good news... but, every month it was delayed was another $1k I could save to put on the down payment.

Dare I actually hope it takes a little longer to get to the dealership?
(but then again, I am about ready to put a bullet in my Blazer... I hate seeing that sucka in my garage everyday.)
